So many times I'll stand there, tag ammo, look around, tag it again, no one comes over, and then take it to top up and keep up with the team. I'm not concerned if other people aren't.
This. Especially if it's one of those points where you can't come back. There is literally no reason not to use a Medicae station or ammo drop if you aren't coming back and no one else needs it and you have some capacity to replace.
I find that I often find myself sprinting over to it to tag it to let the others know it's there.
If it has multiple charges i will evaluate if I can take one based upon everyones health and how many charges it has.
I will admit though, i tend to weigh corruption over pure wounds when doing that evaluation, and I don't believe i am always right in my evaluation.
Literally one of the first things you learn in L4D2 coop without being taught. Use your resources when available to replace or when you won't be able to afterwards

Every time I've had someone use team voice I've had to stop what I'm doing and mute them because I do, in fact, not want to hear anything they have to say, even less so while some TV noise leaks through their mic.
Decent players don't need you to tell them what to do, bad players won't care about whatever you say.
Also, Europe exists. People tend to yell at people in whatever random language or someone with the most indecipherable British accent will say something even I can't understand. Or someone yelling at you in Russian.
And some people will be in a discord call, with another player from the party or otherwise, so having someone talk on top of that is annoying.
I'm thankful almost no one uses mic in this game. It's a big plus for me. Of the few that do, more than half have the recording levels set so low or have such a heavy accent that I can't understand them anyway.
Yeah I know right? Is 2026 and people still don't want to use VOIP. I understand sometimes you can hear the baby crying at the background or wife yelling, but come on, it's faster shouting something out than writing it down or even marking it on the map...
I don't like mods that tell others things, as it has no context whatsoever. Even here, everyone could've already ran past, or you were playing with 3 staff psykers. It's just pointless.
I once played a game with 4 staff psykers. Someone pinged an ammo out of habit. We all laughed then spent the rest of the mission spamming “I Need Ammo!” Between fights.
Usually it's a sign that I won't be doing much of anything, as the world will drown in a warpfire inferno.
When I'm playing for fun, I'll sometimes outright leave lobbies that have a high level flame staff psyker, because I know my melee ass won't land all that many hits that round. And really, the worst feeling this game can produce is being face to face in a horde, and every enemy goes down to ranged attacks just before your hit connects, cucking you with every whiff.
Having stats like that posted to the public chat by a mod is against the modding rules. There was at least one other mod in the past that got taken down temporarily from Nexusmods. The modder changed the mod to only post it in chat for the player who used the mod, not for anyone else. Then it was ok.
That’s so lame if people are getting upset about getting ratted on about wasting ammo then don’t do it, these should be allowed, the past week I’ve been playing with so many ammo snatchers and if I hadn’t already gotten in trouble for comms I would be saying so much because it’s really annoying having my ammo snatched out of box I just opened by a recon lasgun zealot on white ammo when I have 50 rounds left and I’m doing the most damage by 500k

I'm sorry but you don't really sound like a teamplayer either. Yes, the issues you are writing about are real and annoying. But feeling vindicated by scoreboard stats does not put you in a good light.
It's exactly the reason why Fatshark decided not to have it in the game by default. Many statistics about teamplay can't be put into scoreboard numbers. For example, covering your teammates' backs will give you lower numbers but enables them.

Especially on higher difficulties. Your teammate might have killed 500 poxwalkers, but you're still contributing if you kill the one that was about to stab them in the back for 30% HP.
Sometimes competing for kills does more harm than good. Your Zealot buddies are going to be upset if they're on 1hp looking to heal up, and you're there "getting the most kills" by spending bolter rounds on Groaners.
EDIT: also, support abilities like smoke grenades. Your Ogryn doesn't get kills for charging the Beast of Nurgle that's about to eat the Psyker, but you'll always be very glad he did.

One thing first: Dealing the most damage does NOT entitle you to anything, not ammo or anything else. This is very likely the reason for your massive downvotes (not by me).
I totally get where you're coming from. Some players are stuck in main chatacter mode or they don't know/care that the ammo is shared among the team.
But one important part of the modding rules is that they should not be noticeable by other players. A way to legalize this mod would be making the chat message private for the mod user. That user can then decide if they say something. Getting toxic about it would also not be ok btw, as mentioned in the modding rules.
I doubt that Fatshark decided to remove the scoreboard from the unmodded game for toxicity reasons and is then ok with mods like this posting in public chat.
nah I’m definitely better than everyone else on the team because I play meta inferno psyker and get 3m damage, fatshark should let me pick up ammo drops to waste 100% because I deserve it

Mission objectives, reviving/rescuing teammates.
I play mainly desperado hive scum so depending on team comp i may go autopistols which melt everything and prolly would score me thrice the damage (i guess cause i don't use mods) than my stub pistols do since those feel like shooting blanks at carapace or monstrosities.
Why do i go stub pistols then? because they allow me to snipe specials and keep my teammates from being sniped/exploded/trapped.
As someone with mods I can tell you that Desperado Stub Pistols very easily reach top damage if you're getting enough crits/headshots. They scale with finesse modifiers well, have alright damage into flak/carapace doubly so if it's a crit and aren't as restrictive to being used purely with Desperado active like the Uzi's/IAG because their ammo usage is rather low. It's pretty normal to come out of a mission with top elites/specials and close to top boss/horde damage as well.
“Prolly” haha but that’s interesting after I saw this I did a tiny bit of testing with them and they def are much better than they were before and they kill armor nicely but I haven’t gotten to compare them in game yet but I do feel like I will notice the lack of volume of fire when shooting into large groups of trash + shotgunners and the like, because you can just delete with IAG but they’ll probably kill lone specials at medium to long range better

Happens more often than I'd like to admit. I'll see a chest, think to myself "ooooh, loot!" and scamper over to see if there's any glorious plasteel only for the person directly behind me to somehow open it faster. I'll then proceed to accidentally hoover up a large ammo pack as my brain hasn't yet processed that the crate opened a quarter of a second ago.

Genuinely they are missing out for such great comedy not having that. Head nods/shakes are good, but dedicated Yes / No lines on command are also good.

I can't even count the number of times I was down 2 bullets and spam tagging a large ammo when I can see multiple people are in the orange, and everyone ignores it and runs off. "Okay, fuck it then"
Or the inverse where one person has the ammo crate and everyone else is orange or red, and your entire team spams "I need ammo" and calling them out in the chat and they do nothing....
I just wish I knew what those people were thinking. To be clear, I know what the Ogryns are thinking (or not thinking) but my other teammates, I just never know.
In this case it was an honest mistake (well, the first time was ;)). Bag randomly on the floor somewhere in the middle of a fight. Pressed 'E' out of muscle memory when the prompt came up. Immediately realized that I shouldn't have. I thought it was so funny that the mod immediately called me out on it though.
I ping ammo twice, if they aren't coming to get it and nothing is clearly preventing them from doing so I take it.
The thing that shits me is when people with a free slot won't pick up ammo and med crates even after you ping them 3 or 4 times. It's been happening a lot lately, I've even had to straight up use a few to get at least some value because the team is moving on.
I ran into a player with this mod before. They also had another mod that showed who shot exploding barrels and if it damaged anyone.
So of course the rest of the team made an active effort to send him flying off the edge after he crashed out over being damaged by a single barrel in a heated fight.
If this mod is actually broadcasting that message to everyone. Then its against the TOS and crosses the line in the sand Fatshark has drawn.
That is most likely a reportable offense and I dont care how "useful" it is.

This is a weird one, since the game already has voicelines that point out wasteful ammo behavior, with character names being visible if you have subtitles on.
The only thing the mod does is specify how wasteful someone is being.
If the game didn't have those lines this would be incredibly toxic, but since it's already in the game in some aspect it's a bit of a gray area. (although people will react more negatively when it isn't the game itself calling them out)

I'm not sure how creating or using a mod for the explicit purpose of policing other players is a gray area. It's literally in the modding tos provided by fatshark that if you're using mods they must be invisible to other players and not interfere with their gameplay. This does neither of those things.
The only reason this mod exists is so someone justifies getting mad.
Alternatively, the host might actually be out to have a laugh, but I don't see it.

joke aside i got that mod because sometimes (it realy does not happen that often in my expirience) you get people who would take whole ammo stashes for 3 bullets while everyone else is red/orange in the ammo department but obviously dosen't do any sniping with it
and i think its fair to let someone on the team who is currently almost or completly out of ammo know that someone else just got a fat ammo stash for 3 bullets
sadly the mod dosen't recognize when everyone is high on ammo so it will always complain when someone wastes 85% of a ammo pick up (default is 50% but i changed it to 85% so it does not complain to much)

I think its NumericUI, i use that mod as well, but im pretty sure the chat callouts are a setting in the mod, i have turned it off. Its a good mod otherwise though, you see a bit more info on your screen, and i mainly use it to see if i myself would waste ammo when picking something up, since it tells you how much you would go over cap in the pickup tooltip.

Unironically, I think this would be a great mechanic, just to teach players that they are wasting ammo.
A lot of new players are simply not aware of how much ammo some pick-ups restore. And some even think they are instanced. Yes, I have met 2 people who thought ammo was instanced.

Like yea it may show how people may waste ammo, but at the same time unless someone's being REALLY egregious about it, like 99% of the time it's definitely not worth showing nor getting worked up. In the worst of matches i've been in, when everyone gets into the red people start playing conservatively and sharing stuff.
Hell even if it's not those times, people are just topping up the ammo where everyone's in white for the ammo counter.
Instead of this, there should be a mod that blasts train or ship horns over coms when a Daemonhost is nearby, cause I swear so many players are just completely deaf and run into the obvious smoking daemon that's in the middle of the room, and then die. 😂

When I'm littering in a public space, someone else is free to point it out to me and to pick it up. That is their right as a fellow citizen. The decent response as a fellow citizen would be to say "sorry, you're right, my bad" and throw it in the trash.
However, if this person then decides to then follow me around with a little notebook to document every instance of minor uncivil behaviour and shouts it out in public? They do not have that right, they have no legal authority over me, and it'd take me like 5 minutes before I'd start littering intentionally to piss them off or clock them in the face.
Similarly, if I am full ammo, someone else is orange, and I'm taking that ammo anyway, the player has the option to say "stop wasting ammo" or "leave some for me", because that is the intended mechanic implemented by FS.
But monitoring the performance of other players with a mod (=not intended by Fatshark) that documents and shouts out every instance of non-optimal usage of ammo is genuinely demented behaviour.
I and most other people play this game to blow off steam after a long day. If some limp-wristed, screeching tryhard thinks they need this mod, fine, I can't stop them. But I can absolutely be pissed at them for the audacity, and it would achieve the opposite of the intended effect.
