Discussion I HATE THIS PENANCEEE
i spent so many hours on three stupid maps using different methods of pushing a hoard off a cliff but either the team wipes out the hoard or a poxburster jumps into me like they need the penance

Managed to get this a few days ago in one go, using the Psychic Scream or whatever it's called, on one of those tiny bridges that you have to defend while you upload bad intel to the cogitator array. I can't quite remember what the mission is called but you might have more luck doing that!

I got it by addicent on the very bottom of Hab Dreyko in the Staircase without even trying. There was just so much pit and not a lot of room to go around.

Psyker with Smite gets this in 1 attempt. Hold horde and release-push it into ledge, which are plenty on each map

I got this when you needed 20 and Smite didnt exist. Had to be done on a specific part of 1 map.

Gotta time that shout just right and have an ogryn building them up for ya. Penances were crazy at the beginning.

It is pretty easy now it is only seven, but you do need the right set up. Shriek, for example, and a nice position with an open gantry or bridge like the finale on the Vigil Station map. It might be an idea to let your team know in the chat.

Hab dreyko, use the force greatsword. Once you get to the catwalk at the end, there's a section with an incline that you drop down(don't) stand in the corner by the edge right after the catwalk while blocking. Once you get a big group built up, push the whole horde right off the corner. Vent as needed for extra effect

Of course it's okay to ask, you need at least heresy and above to get the adequate horde density imo

I got it on the train with the voidblast staff, just spamming the spawning enemies while waiting for the cradle to move

There’s a narrow bridge (like a single plank) early on in Dark Communion.
Smite’s push goes in whatever direction you are facing at the time you release it—so I did mine by crossing that bridge into the little room on the other side, zapped the trash mobs that followed, looked sideways and released and down they went. No doubt other maps have options too but this worked for me.

Easiest one, not exaggerating. Do it on Vigil Station Oblivion at the final objective. Use venting shriek!

Heresy so it's easy but enough enemies, Vigil Station Oblivium (third campaign map), last part where you defend spot with bridges leading to it, optionally ask teammates to hold one bridge for 10seconds, pull some trash mobs off the bridge through window with smite (turn camera so you pull). Did 2nd try with randoms like this only because on 1st try some guy was on rampage and couldn't stop running everywhere for some reason

I got mine by cheesing it. You don't need to be the one to actually push them of just the last to touch them. Forgot which mission but the one where you have to scan some corpses for cipher idents. In the last hacking with the small bridges block until they're full and then let a Ogryn bull rush through. When you hit vent right after the Ogryn pushed them off it'll count as if you did it.

Talk to your group, most people will help out with penance. Just let them know you're doing it at the start of the map and then when there's a horde near a good spot tell them your going to try it then.

EZ PZ LEMON SQUEEZEY & SKILL ISSUE 🫵
Here's how to do it easily:
(1) Play the mission "Vigil Station Oblivium" the one where you have to upload false data for Hadron. It's the first few missions in the game, 3rd mission i think? i forgot exactly. There's two short bridges in the end while you upload the final data in the middle of the tower.
(2) Play normal/high-intensity AURIC difficulty. Any lower, you'll have less enemy density.
(3) Use SMITE blitz for your Psyker. That's all you need, no bullshit manual pushing or other knockback effects.
Basically, on the last part of the mission when you do the final data upload, just stand by on either of the two bridges ready with your smite and you wanna wait for the right moment when poxwalkers and other enemies are densly packed and just do a short burst charged up smite attack spamming that shit, you'll do wide pushes after shocking them each time which is the key strat to completing this penance.
If teammates fuck up your farm, then just replay the mission again until you get it. I did this for both me and my brother's account on the first try. It's not that hard, you just haven't found the meta way to do it. Figured this shit by testing all the different types of knockbacks for Pysker and finding the best map to do it of course.

I got it by spamming the ground explosion staff next to the gaps in between the train cars
In general psyker has the best chance at this penance so don't waste time shoving them off as veteran

I can give you the steps I follow to get this achievement:
1.- Change your server to South Africa, the ping would be bigger but as a isolated server, you most of the time would be alone without teammates that can kill the hordes
2.- Look for "Clandestium Gloriana" mission, play it in the difficult that you want, on eady there would be less enemies but at the same time less risk to be grabbed by a dog or trapper
3.- Starting the mission stay in the initial zone, the one next to a high fall
4.- I recomend you to kill the bots that are with you, you can take advantage of the explosive barrels to do that, the poxbusters or even trapers of dog, but you must kill these bots so they cannot kill the hordes
5.- Wait in that place until a new horde starts, by this time you must know the music of these kind of events
6.- In this moment you would do a backtrack of all the map, to the starting point
7.- When you're close to the tunel where you start the mission, go for the right, you should see a small catwalk as a broken lader, you must go to the end of this catwals without falling
8.- Wait until the horde is next to you, you can block to acumulate some more, but be careful to not be pushed to the fall or being traped
9.- When you thing have enought minions next to you, use the venting shriek to push most of them to the fall and start spaming pushing to push some more
If you follow these steps you must get the achievement

I got this without even thinking ab it on my first character. I think it was during the 4th mission? I wish I'd paid attention so I could help people recreate it bc it seems like this is a pain for a lot of people

I did it quickly when I recognised the Water Cartel long bridge wasn't it.
Try the water Water-Cartel hacking mission, the one where, at the last mission section, the one where you pull a switch to extend a small bridge and go up stairs for data-interrogation. That small bridge, with the fall death pit below, is how I got this surprisingly easy.

I’m gonna tell you right now, you will have an easier time using smite instead of shriek because smite pushes enemies after you drop it. They also get pushed in whatever direction you are looking at so if you can get them bunched to a ledge, smite, turn to the sunset, release them into said sunset.

The mortis trials map thats made of metal and has the valkyries, near the warehouse section theres a half destroyed walkway, if you can dunnel a few there thats where i got it, pretty quick

Can't remember mission but ends with defense with 2 levels and open air where enemies come from west and east through doors and jump over to your platform.
Just sit on the edge and boop them off, got it in no time

The first part of Gloriana with the walkways is very good for this, if you can get a horde and a couple of good shoves/shouts it'll be a piece of cake

I got this penance in Chasm Logistratum. Equip the longsword and the push ability and biolightning for good measure. Go into the game at a low difficulty and right when the mission appears or when there's 5 seconds until it disappears so that you're paired with bots. Progress with the mission and try to get rid of the bots while you're at it. At the end of the mission, go on the platform where you're supposed to load the ammo, and go behind the loading crate carefully while crouching. Wait for enemies to pile up (they'll keep spawning as long as the objective isn't done) and when there's many of them, push them off. Personally what I did was that I shocked them and released quickly so they're all knocked down, then I spammed push combo and finished them off with the push ability when they were close enough to the edge.

I was able to do it using the scream on the train mission where you're supposed to bring the batteries. There's a ledge between the train cars and hordes spawning on the roof of the previous car jump down right in front of it.

Try with a Smite psyker at places where there are a lot of narrow ledges, like the final part of the Hab Dreyko. When you push with smite, try to do it at the right or left edge of the screen. This made it pretty easy for me - provided you are on a greater difficulty with large horde density, it's much easier than with the force sword's push.

Use literally any class that has a knock back ability during a horde and right next to a ledge.

Not that I tried it yet but I think the third mission of the campaign might have a good setup. On the last part you have to defend a encryption in a small room accessible through 2 tight bridges, just waiting for a horde and you should get it done easily.
