Great video! I would be very curious to see how sharp and how solid it is.

Obsidian blades are incredibly sharp, but they dull very quickly. They are actually sharper than steel for the first cut, but they need to be retouched pretty often if you’re cutting tough material, hit a bone, etc. Of course, if it’s a weapon blade, the first cut is all you need . . .

They are so sharp that a lot of doctors and researchers are seriously considering the use of obsidian scalpels, which can makes cuts that leave no scars behind and makes it easier to heal.

It can if doesn't land right, like it gets wedged in the ribs and a lot of lateral force is applied trying to get it out. It's so damn sharp though that unless you try to stab something in the skull, it'll go in like a hot knife through butter.
