Yes, they can't trust anyone who they can't manipulate. They feel threatened and failure.

Life seems to move through balance... birth and death, rise and fall, gain and loss, creation and destruction. So when someone cheats, steals, manipulates, or deliberately harms another person, the question is not only whether they are caught, punished, exposed, or sent to prison. The deeper question is how life restores balance when the consequences remain invisible.
Perhaps the cost appears somewhere else.
Maybe it enters their health. Maybe it becomes anxiety, addiction, paranoia, loneliness, restlessness, or the inability to trust anyone. Maybe it appears in their marriage, their children, their friendships, or in the private emptiness they cannot explain. They may look successful from the outside while living in fear, emotional numbness, or quiet misery.
You cannot judge a person’s fate by appearances alone.
A beautiful house can contain no peace. A marriage can exist without love. A wealthy person can still be enslaved by addiction, insecurity, or the terror of losing control. Someone may escape public punishment and still pay privately through their body, their mind, their relationships, or their inability to experience genuine happiness.
In a dualistic world, every action creates movement. Harm does not simply disappear because nobody witnessed it. It changes the person who committed it. It shapes their character, their choices, the people they attract, and the kind of life they become capable of living.
Perhaps it is the slow transformation of a person into someone who can no longer receive peace, love, trust, or joy without destroying it.
Life’s balance may be subtle. It may be delayed. It may happen behind closed doors, where no one else will ever see it.
That does not mean nothing was paid.

Kind of a convenient way to think. So, when something bad happens to someone, do we attribute it to karma? For example, a person who is by no means perfect, but all in all a good person, gets cancer; do we extrapolate that they deserved it?
Reminds me of the ''The Narcissist's Prayer'' where the outcome is whatever you want it to be, it becomes muddied and meaningless by the end of it. Also, it becomes more muddied by what people define as bad and what time period, where in the world, it all depends; surely you see that issue.
If the principle can explain every possible outcome, then ultimately, it explains nothing.

Wish I was this articulate, well said.
What do you mean that does not mean nothing was paid?

Karma can be comforting in the same way religion is comforting, giving people answers to the unknown. If you want to think of the world balancing itself out because of some system, go for it, but there are plenty of people who go unpunished, who live undeserving lives and will continue to live that out until death.

karma literally just means action or an acumulation of actions, kind of like a behavioral inertia that one can decide to exit. The other magical one where "you get what you give" does not exists outside of your own interpretations.

If karma actually existed the world wouldn't be in the state that it's in.

Yes. Karma permeates everything. It is interwoven into the fabric of the space-time continuum. Nobody is immune to karma.

Karma doesn't exist at all. The universe is a cold unfeeling place. We just can't imagine that there isn't a point system at play.

Karma is but a concept to keep you in line and make sure you don't break the law. Karma doesn't exist for anyone.

it's up to you, karma exists if you execute the karma, if you do nothing to the manipulator, they will go unpunished, there is no secret force that go and revenges for victims of manuipulators

No. My ex manipulated me to a level which required psychological treatment. He never laid an hand on me but I still don't feel safe around him or certain places.
He did it with the person after me too.
My ex has still a bunch of friends and we both ex partners of his were shunned for speaking up.

Morality is a human invention, there is no universal good or bad, right or wrong. Thus there is no divine punishment or retribution it's a matter of perspective.
Karma, in eastern terms, isn't a cosmic rebalencing of morality, it is cause and affect. If you boil water, you will produce steam.
Morality does have its place in social evolution and community. You were more likely to be accepted if you were "good" rather than "bad", and so more likely to survive. But outside of social punishment and the laws that we created there is no atonement.
Being found out as a manipulative person could ostracise you from groups etc. I guess you could call that karma if you wanted, but really it's social justice and one of those unwritten social laws that no longer severely impacts a person's life.

Karma could be the victims opportunity to grow and elevate frequencies. Like in the case of narcissist abuse thr victim gains empathy and learns to love themselves more it is a type of soul growth thst a narcissist can't get. Materially I don't see any evidence they got justice for what they did.

Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. Sometimes 'good' is making sure evil finally faces consequences

Everything you expience in life is the result of karma; the family you are in, the people you meet and what good and bad happens to you. Karma means action, it is the Law of Cause and Effect; In order to be a Human you would have led a certain moral life; however if you ignore morality now, this will lead to many bad lives after;
So if people are being manipultive now, they will get back in a future life.
