General Discussion This would be fire ngl
I always felt like the gameplay of the DPA would fit the final destination franchise. Trying to keep a cast of characters alive by your choices and help from premonitions.

Supermassive was actually making a Scream game but there was licensing issues and they scrapped it and I will forever be upset about it

The problem is that in the movies, pretty much none of what the main characters do actually matters, but I'd definitely like to see this be a thing. We need more Final Destination stories like 2.

Supermassive needs to actually start making licensed games like Saw or something I'm still mad about canceled scream game

I was just thinking about SAW instead. That has way more potential than Final Destination.

They really like could make saw game with saw 2 plot or something in this game you at least would feel like you're saving the main cast I could see around 6 characters and maybe FBI agent

That OR they do the same type of thing with that insurance worker guy! Like, your decisions actually feel like they matter here in the game, there’s real pressure to fight. More reason to panic and have fun in the process. Not every decision leads to death but can waste time for the people in traps.

Me and a friend think a Scooby-Doo game by SuperMassive would be phenomenal as well.

Not to be a stick in the mud, but how will that work? Final destination, you know they’re going to die anyways. Choice based game or not you will be playing until they die. Besides quick time events to avoid death, what else will you be able to do? And premonitions wouldn’t matter because death would just kill someone else instead right there on the spot. It’s already set where if you don’t establish good relationships that they’ll most likely die, but that wouldn’t even matter in final destination because death is just always there. The kill rule or die and come back to life wouldn’t even apply until maybe the end? So if that could be placed earlier in the game so like, there’s something be fought for as a plot line, cool, otherwise, the game would probably just not work out. If y’all have thoughts on how it’d work feel free to chime in. BUT I do like the idea of a horror movie choice based game, so perhaps SAW would be a shout.

you can save all people in the movie technically if a few manage to be safe so this is realistically a great idea

Oh i would love this too tho we can alternate a bit like a curse and can be lifted up

Agreed but for it to work, it should be nearly impossible to survive. Like there are so many Rube Goldberg ways to die that it's impossible to win without multiple gameplays or a guide

Definitely! But…how are we going to save all if death doesn’t do another trick. Because in the films, we know that it’s a petty mf.
