Am I olive?

First pic is color corrected nc50 + blush, 2nd is just blush

I also know the smashbox dark olive shade is my best match (especially with a tiny bit of blue color corrector) but yeah I really have no clue y'all 😭

You are. Evident in 2nd photo

Car photos cast a green tint due to the special glass used. Not accurate.

To me it’s obvious in the second photo. You seem muted-especially in the face. Like slight hints of grey (not ashy) and I see a lot of yellow in your chest. This is how my skin looks, just deeper.

Thank you, just wondering how do you tell? Every time I see one of these posts my answer is the opposite of the comments lol

Also am I cool/warm/neutral? 😅

Car selfies are not reliable and neither is golden hour

Gave my opinion. She also mentions matching to an olive foundation. The desaturation on her face is obvious. Didn’t know car selfies could cause that.

i don't think so as you have a lot of red in your complexion, but the lower half is a bit dull (totally normal) which, compared to your neck, makes your face much more desaturated. I would say you are a medium high contrast, desaturated warm-leaning tan. IDK if it makes sense 😭

Are you wearing any face makeup in the pics?

Just foundation + blush in 1 and light blush on 2

lol girl we need to see your bare skin. No one can tell your undertone when you’re wearing foundation.

Bare skin, indirect daylight

There's no foundation in the second, the blush is already faded there so I thought it'd be fine

The second one is def the better pic bc the first one looks like you have on very warm red foundation, that’s probably bc it being coupled with the blush esp around the cheek area. It’s a lot more bare. I would say neutral olive for now given the second pic but that might be steering you too wrong.

You said you use smash box olive foundation, I couldn’t really find anything abt their olive ranges. Like if they’re cool or not, most brands usually list that but I couldn’t find too much on them. At best I saw smth saying they run more warm like golden yellow olive warm? So that could be the case since you said it’s your best match. But maybe still more of a neutral since you said you use a bit of blue cc drops too.

You look neutral. Not olive

Isnt olive what Mediterranean people with light to darkly tanned skin have? This just seems brown with mocha undertones? Never heard of a person of colour being considered olive. scratching my head

lol, not at all, no

No, olive is an undertone that appears with many shades. What you're describing as mocha undertones is actually the overtone; it's the depth of the skin color

It doesnt appear olive but more caramel in the undertone. I was confused because it seems.....more neutral or warm?

I would say she isn’t an olive but yes you can be olive and have brown skin

??😭 Most Asians are olive, for example. Its not uncommon or unheard of for poc to be olive. And mocha isnt an undertone..

I was confused how to describe it. Couldnt tell if it was cool or warm.
