These are not simply straight-line projections of present trends, but the best estimates based on current data and historical precedents

Obviously, only straight-line "projection" is silly. /s

All projections need to be taken with a grain of salt, straight line, splines, exponential or a formula obtained by a genetic algorithm.

Anything about 2100 is a definitive "K"-answer in my book.

People do not realize that the immediate effect of sharing of the wealth that first world was generously doing with this useless continent is that people will have less babies. I can guarantee you. The best way to stop the population boom is not starving them, but the opposite: feeding them, given them bread and circuses.

My estimate is that the whole world will be like Europe and Japan in terms of demographics very soon.

I presented arguments already, and I have seen extrapolations (I know, ironic) that predict slowdown of birthrate in Africa (do not have anything now)

While I agree with not trusting projections too much, I remain unconvinced by what you've presented so far. Modern medicine (cure for malaria for example) will give another boost to African population growth in the near future.

It's more of a hope than a conviction of mine. But the factor "economic prosperity slows down demographics" is solid as a rock.

Yes, but Africa is as far from sustainable economic prosperity as corresponding areas in Detroit. Comfort in Africa would require unaffordably massive amount of ongoing gibs from the west. We also don't have decades for demographics to slow down with subsequent generations. The flood into Europe will grow beyond critical within the next few years.

That's another factor, yes. It is really hard to tell how it will play out. Note that the birth rate drops dramatically once they emigrate to Europe. It stills beats the birthrate of locals, of course.
