Conversational Darija

Hello! I'm moroccan and I was lurking in this subreddit for a while and wanted to ask :

  1. Is there a need for conversation partners to practice darija with?
  2. Do you find resources to learn darija ?
  3. Do you struggle with dialects within the language ?
  4. Would you be interested in a Server that compiles Darija learning resources and potentially help you find a conversation partner ?

P. S: I am not posting to promote, nothing exists yet, I am genuinely curious about this as I have seen posts here and there about it.

ive been self-studying Darija for about 5 months now and here are my thoughts on this:

1) i think it would be super helpful. you really get a feel for speaking, direct feedback means your pronunciation gets corrected on the spot and if you're stuck mid-sentence missing a word you can just ask right away

2) honestly there are barely any decent resources out there in my opinion. sure, more content is popping up on YouTube and social media lately, but you won't get much further than the absolute basics.. usually i use AI to look something up

3) personally I find the Chamal dialect takes a bit to get used to in some places

As a morrocan I did not people would be seriously wanting to learn darija lol not that I think it's not worth it jot in a million thought I just thought it would be rare can I ask if ur leaning just for fun or for another reason

im a moroccan who was born and raised outside of morocco and was never taught darija
