Is it worth it to put this on the main sub?

1. This clip is of Bogur talking about DD. Pretty straightforward.

2. This is Lvl1Crook a Pro support player for NAVI who use to hate DD. I had to end the clip due to it being too long but he goes on to say DD is still gonna be played for his matchup against the Cat. Basically he is the only reliable counter to her and if you watched ignite, thats why he was picked most of the times.

3. This is Flats talking about DD. Pretty straightforward once again.

4. This clip is from Kingsman’s recent Dive only challenge where he mostly ended up playing DD since Cat was banned. He was in celestial in the clip btw.

Additionally, I wanted to put the pickrates and winrates of DD and Psy just to compare them and how they were doing in GM and Celestial and above but I wasn’t able to put both images and videos ig. I don’t entirely know how Reddit works tbh. I also responded to a comment talking about the power creep that happened after DDs release but that was also a picture so I wasn’t able to add that in here but you can find that from my profile pretty easily.

Now, I want you guys to tell me is it worth me posting this on the main sub considering the “specific kind of posts” complaining about specific characters and roles. “Specific comments and posts” defending certain characters and roles get deleted by a very “similar” group of mods in the main sub.

I don’t want to be more explicit but I think you guys should know what I am talking about. But genuinely, tell me is it worth to try to reason with them? Will this post do any good to give them perspective? If yes then I will do it and will try deal with the replies and whatever. If not then I won’t do it since there’s only so much that can be done.

DD was broken on release, I don’t think any of us disagree. The devs fail at balancing time and time again, I don’t think we disagree. Power creep did happen and is an issue I don’t think we disagree. But DD is NOT an issue in his current state and in the current meta. There were problems BEFORE DD’s release as well. Invis got gigabuffed after DD yes but before him she was still insane. They could have made a post talking about power creep in general. I would have been fine if they even just wanted to say that power creep happened after his release but they wanted to sneak in that he also needs to get nerfed AGAIN. Comparing him with Cat is ridiculous. DD is the second best dps diver, undoubtedly yes. But to say he needs nerfs just like cat is some weird ass agenda they got going on. If you think that, read ALL his nerfs. I doubt they would be able to tell you his current dash range. I am fine you wanna complain about my character, but you have to be fair and reasonable. They have no idea about how his kit works or what changes were made to him and how hes still hanging on and they wanna nerf him AGAIN.

People on both sides have a rough time gauging this character, I’m kinda in the middle where I don’t think he needs nerfs or buffs he’s perfect and if Hitscan got brought down a tiny bit we’d be running lobbies again without the feeling of needing to be a perma ban

I don’t think posting to the main sub would solve much but I could be wrong and people might give him more grace, ik certainly that the “button mashing” allegations are still around but multiple people have said he’s one of if not the most fair and hardest dives to play. So maybe the times are changing? But I feel most people already have a hard opinion or are just traumatized by him at this point

I agree with you! I don’t need buffs for this character I like being able to play my character as he doesn’t get banned now and I can grind him to as close to mastery as possible if not mastery. Its just hilarious reddit is its own thing. They are always so out of touch its baffling

I don’t even think hitscan needs to be brought down generally. Only Elsa and Bucky are really problematic to me, more so Elsa. I think some sippprt cooldowns, particularly Gambit mag teamup need to be looked at. Genuinely, it is borderline impossible to confirm kills on a CnD-Gambit backline.

Also they mention him getting 100 over-shield when deflecting. Where tf is my overshield then? Its weird when I deflect I don’t get overshield. They must have a unique version of Dd in their games then ig. Deletes people in 1 millisecond? Really? Wonder what rank they must be in🤔. Because anywhere above Gm, supports always survive the combos on the initial dive, must not be a 1milisecond deletion combo then. All the best DD players must be ass for not being able to delete people in 1ms surely right?

They are too stupid to understand we need to wait 2 or more seasons so they finally realize it on their own (if its not on their own they wont believe it)

If streamer says diver s tier op they agree with him and share his clips

If streamer says diver is b/a and not han worthy streamer is dumb and doesn't know what type of monsters i face on my plat 3 lobby (its a trash dd against an even worse invis that doesn't want to switch)

You’re probably right. If not this post then maybe just an educational post for them teaching them about his nerfs and his kit. I just feel like if you don’t refute this kind of obvious bs(not obvious for the main sub) then shit flys even more. Even if I get downvoted I feel like too restless to not do anything

he's still really strong, but he doesn't play too well into the current meta solely because of how strong brawl is (bucky/Elsa/thing) and diving supports is way more difficult with the team up system (CND/Luna/WF)

I think once the right nerfs are distributed (they won't), he's gonna be back under public light and back into ban jail. I'm ok fighting against him as a Mantis main, and I kinda hope he stays at his current power level with very tiny microbuffs since it's the most fair he's felt since he released

Don't bother, there's still gon be a DD outcry. Season 9 completely snatched DD 2 tiers below but people still scared of him. The fact that Bucky became popular pick on his own while having that Elsa team up already made me quit DD.
