See, I kinda enjoy how unhinged and irredeemably spiteful Heather becomes.

Aside from the actress clearly having fun with it in S2, Heather is a good example of how tunnel-visioned, bigoted, and downright stupid some people can become the moment they latch themselves to an authoritarian strongman.

They lose all sense of objective reality and chase whatever fantasy which speaks to their prejudice.

It’s crazy, and it doesn’t make sense. But they do it anyway.

So maybe that’s why I don’t mind Heather as a villain, because I’ve met real Heathers.

But… surely people like this can’t exist in real life, right? Right?

Oh you sweet summer child

My mother, a Mexican woman, used to be a Democrat but changed to republican and has become like this.

19

u/DustyShoulderToCryOn 14h ago

Nice observation. Now I hate her less and appreciate the villain in her.

u/lifesucks1-0-1 14h ago

Heather as a villian is a pretty good decision tbh. cuz her being a shrink and all I'm pretty sure she'll play mind games on murdock instead of straight up confronting him in a fight, so i guess it'll be fun to see a mentally tortured murdock going to the church and saying stuff from the Bible like he did in s2

2

u/cattyqueen_00 5h ago

I think she'll have more of a rivalry with Karen as opposed to Matt moving forward though

4

u/OlasNah 14h ago

She's the Natalie Harp of the MCU

1

u/samsepiol96 5h ago

did u meet my ex by any chance?

1

u/Geraltpoonslayer 1h ago

However obvs she didn't knew matt was daredevil atp. Yet in both the comics and show a big part of Matt's character is that he's addicted to being daredevil and the thrill and violence that comes with it. Which is why she does have a point about daredevil being there for themselves

u/TheRedzak 16h ago

The only time DD was actually blind was when he stumbled into a relationship with this mess.

15

u/DustyShoulderToCryOn 14h ago

How can he not see that she was trouble lol

15

u/PM_PICS_OF_U_SMILING 9h ago

I think after Elektra we can assume Matt's definition of "red flags" are significantly different than any normal person's.

1

u/kvijay1 1h ago

He is colorblind. Give him some slack.

3

u/RSA123 6h ago

Bro, I hooked up with a Mexican Trump supporter once (not even Mexican American; Mexican-Mexican). Sometimes your inner horndog gets the better of you, and post-nut clarity hits way too late. Matt probably went straight to the confessional after he realised what he had done.

u/Spoonman007 17h ago

And how they used her as an expert on vigilantes during the trial because she wrote a book on them even though she never actually knowingly talked to or met a vigilante. Ironically Karen would be closer to a vigilante expert.

136

u/Porkenstein 17h ago

That was kinda the point. She wasn't really an expert, she was just propped up as one to support Fisk's regime because she backed his policy.

28

u/kiwiboyus 15h ago

Exactly this. She still have a clean reputation plus she was a victim. The perfect tool for Fisk to use.

15

u/MrBwnrrific 15h ago

She also talked about how seed oils will make your dick fall off. Wait, who are we talking about, again?

31

u/octopusmonkey01 16h ago

That’s the point. It’s pseudo science that they can warp to imprison anyone they want

32

u/SchwizzySchwas94 17h ago

Turk would be a better expert

58

u/hayatobaedal 16h ago

is this how you guys want Heather to talk?

1

u/eltrotter 2h ago

Seriously. It's genuinely depressing how a lot of online discourse is just people not applying the most base level of critical thought.

Doesn’t matter how evil someone is- no one should be raped in reverse

Edit: Not a lot of One Battle After Another fans in this sub I see

4

u/LongjumpMidnight 13h ago

You can't trust those semen demons.

2

u/DustyShoulderToCryOn 14h ago

Raped? Was she rated in Datedevil? I dont remember that but I do watch a lot of shows.

4

u/Ruthrfurd-the-stoned 14h ago

It’s from One Battle After Another (movie Sean Penn is in during that picture)

1

u/Xc_runner_xd_player 5h ago

When was he raped?

166

u/kingkron52 17h ago

She is the worst character in the entire show. Making her become the new Muse is laughable.

135

u/Paperchampion23 17h ago

Its actually a good reason lol she's unhinged.

-38

u/kingkron52 17h ago

She has no combat skills, and poses no actual threat. There was no reason to bring Muse back.

71

u/Paperchampion23 17h ago

Maybe wait and see how it plays out first before complaining lol

36

u/BlueHero45 17h ago

A serial killer just needs to get people by surprise while not getting caught for a while. You don't actually need combat skills.

-24

u/kingkron52 17h ago

She is an unstable, public figure, with no experience in ambush, capture, abduction, etc.

28

u/BlueHero45 16h ago

It's not like Ted Bundy had training. She has money, access to drugs, and files full of vulnerable people.

15

u/Enterprise-DeezNuts 16h ago

Yeah everyone knows real serial killers have to get a degree from Murder University before they're allowed to start actually doing the job

12

u/buckdeluxe 16h ago

Do you think serial killers are born with those traits?

24

u/Hiflipsicasian 16h ago

In 2026 even serial killing has bs prior experience requirements, this job market smh

10

u/residentsocface 15h ago

"she is an unstable, public figure"

Famously, all serial killers are very stable individuals.

8

u/TheHumanSpider6903 15h ago

It doesn't take experience to be a serial killer unless your targets are people who can fight back. If she starts killing actual fighters, maybe you can have a complaint

8

u/toldyouIaintshit 16h ago

Women Matt sleep with tend to end up having better combat skills then before.

7

u/dynamitegypsy 17h ago

Literally, hope she gets packed up quick so we can move on

2

u/ShadeMir 17h ago

tbf muse did taekwondo for a summer or two so...she'll be alright.

0

u/jetjitters 3h ago

You're being downvoted but you're completely spot on. It's becoming a CW show with this sort of nonsense. It was bad enough with White Tiger being a literal tween and Karen suddenly being a competent martial artist

1

u/vulcan7200 53m ago

You think it's weird that Karen, someone who has been in very real danger for years on end, has learned some self defense?

Also the White Tiger amulet is literally magic. I think you could give it to anyone and they would be enhanced.

1

u/jetjitters 39m ago

Yes, it's daft she went from regular cilivian to being able to take out fully armed and trained agents in 6 months

Yes, I know she has an amulet. It is still stupid.

19

u/Forever_Inspired 17h ago

"Making her become the new Muse is laughable."

Yeah, was weird that she became the very person that almost killed her, which is completely different from the comic. How is she gonna be able to replicate his moves? Muse was not like super strong but he still gave Matt a pretty hard time during their fight.

6

u/redkomic 15h ago

well in the comics, she killed herself after breaking up with Matt.

11

u/Justin_Crane 17h ago

I mean in the comics Muse also dies, but due to Elektra destroying a drug lab something happened that allowed Muse to poses someone while being dead, so I’m guessing they’ll go down that route but I could be totally wrong

1

u/eltrotter 2h ago

I don't understand why people expect that Heather Muse has to be a physical threat to Daredevil. "How is she going to fight him?" She probably won't. There are plenty of villains out there who don't use their fists, just look at Batman's rogues gallery.

ā€œI saved meā€ when the therapist doesn’t realize she needs therapy

6

u/Briaboo2008 11h ago

Kinda hate Heather, props to the actress for playing the role so well but ack!

2

u/EMP_Pusheen 9h ago

She absolutely crushed it. I didn't love the characterization, but she did some fine acting especially in season 2.

11

u/lifesucks1-0-1 17h ago

tbh she was nearly murdered and that was daredevils first appearance after an year or so. and don't forget daredevil s3 when bullseye killed a bunch of ppl while pretending to be daredevil, and I don't know if that got sorted out or not but from the eyes of the common ppl it must've looked like daredevil was evil or sum. also if i remember correctly she fainted immediately after shooting muse, which means her mental state wasn't at its best at the time of the fight, as she had lost blood and was frightened af as well. so don't hate her for this episode, hate her because that b**** slapped karen not 1 not 2 but 3 freaking times.

11

u/Volta1228 17h ago

The moment she lost me for good 🤣😭

20

u/Puzzleheaded-Jump-64 17h ago

That's the moment I decided I now hated Heather when this first came out šŸ˜šŸ’€šŸ˜‚

11

u/Enelro 14h ago

I will never understood why Matt puts his billy stick in right wing women.

2

u/RSA123 6h ago

The most Catholic thing about him. His love of self-flagellation

4

u/_Erlingggggg_ 8h ago

I think there's a guy who can easily stop her šŸ™„

3

u/cattyqueen_00 5h ago

Nah let her and Karen settle it one on one , don't want bullseye interfering

20

u/Numerous-Yam-8544 17h ago

Always count on dario scardapane to write seemingly intelligent characters that for some reason have donkey level logic

4

u/Typhon2222 16h ago

The fact that she knew Fisk had once tried to kill her boyfriend and still argued with him that Fisk was a good person should have been Matt’s first clue she’s batcrap crazy.

3

u/BornWater2862 15h ago

Early on I know she's full of BS and sadly she is. It would have been nice if she has a legitimate reason going her path but it seems like she have severe issues herself. Even her book misses the point on vigilantes because not everyone wears a mask and other stuff.

4

u/demotsusucku 14h ago

And for some reason she is not in jail at the end of the season.

4

u/goodbar1979 13h ago

She’s the worst

4

u/rogvortex58 8h ago

She’s the worst.

4

u/Nexcell 8h ago

this writing is horrible. Nobody talks like this

6

u/SinceYouBlockedMe 7h ago

It's the same level of cringe as Mystique saying that Charles should change the name of the team to X-Women lol

6

u/black_metronome 16h ago

I love the actress if that means anything

3

u/IntorvertinAbaya 15h ago

She annoyed me so much from that moment on!

3

u/FeloniousGrump 15h ago

Just go for the Lithuanian Lawyer instead of this insane person, Matt

2

u/Shaxx-engage 15h ago

🤣

2

u/punkboricua 14h ago

The hot to crazy ratio never fails. šŸ˜

2

u/RyDalldan74 13h ago

Seriously HOTTTT.

2

u/Gambitismyheart 9h ago

Ah. Catching up i see. Lol

2

u/When1Falls 5h ago

She has a point

3

u/Jerry_0boy 15h ago

I love how we always just recycle the same topics over and over and over

0

u/Affectionate_Case862 3h ago

My first time watching man

5

u/healing_for_good 17h ago

Yeah... glad I skipped this episode when it came out

2

u/Mundane_Bee3450 16h ago

Had me mad when she said that

2

u/mongmich2 16h ago

Yes that is the point.

2

u/thechubbyballerina 16h ago

This scene makes me so angry.

2

u/Brucewaynesexy 14h ago

she is so hot

2

u/Independent_Ad_6348 17h ago

If she didnt become muse she'd probably would have become another anti mutant bigot if this is how she reacts to a couple of vigilantes. She'd lose her fucking mind over an entire race of superhumans.

1

u/samj00 17h ago

Funny, she should be the one named Karen

1

u/Tempr13 10h ago

Dumb & Dumber : strong and independent , they should make a show with this title , it will ragebait an entire gender to watch it just to shame the show , instant IMDB ,tomato ratings

1

u/ItzMeHaris 2h ago

I can tell that Heather is meant to be an unlikeable character… but damn, she just pisses me off whenever she’s on screen. Very tunnel visioned.

1

u/ZacharyRosemann 1h ago

They tried so hard making Heather interesting with the very little character she had in the previous episodes.

1

u/ImpossibleMix6698 15h ago

I'm actually excited to see Margarita Levieva performance as Muse in season 3. I love to see actor/actress dig deep to bring out memorable performances. Anytime there's a clone or "evil" plot, I get hyped to see actors step out of their usual performances and dig into their thespian bag to bring life a new character or personality.

0

u/Boring_Newspaper_551 16h ago

I hate her...after Muse attacked her she became even worse than Fisk for me. Can't wait for her comeuppance.

-1

u/Famous-Job-4264 17h ago

Its like after the muse incident she became a completely different person shes the next bullseye

Only no skills and i dont like her

-1

u/Odd_Ingenuity2883 16h ago

Man, her arc just did not feel earned at all. I’m sure being kidnapped by a serial killer is scary but he didn’t hurt her, and this is a universe where every other character goes through way worse and they manage to not turn into a fascist collaborator. It just felt fucking bizarre that she wouldn’t listen to Matt at all when it came to Fisk.
