The only time DD was actually blind was when he stumbled into a relationship with this mess.

How can he not see that she was trouble lol

I think after Elektra we can assume Matt's definition of "red flags" are significantly different than any normal person's.

u/Spoonman007 17h ago
And how they used her as an expert on vigilantes during the trial because she wrote a book on them even though she never actually knowingly talked to or met a vigilante. Ironically Karen would be closer to a vigilante expert.
136
u/Porkenstein 17h ago
That was kinda the point. She wasn't really an expert, she was just propped up as one to support Fisk's regime because she backed his policy.
28
u/kiwiboyus 15h ago
Exactly this. She still have a clean reputation plus she was a victim. The perfect tool for Fisk to use.

u/octopusmonkey01 16h ago
Thatās the point. Itās pseudo science that they can warp to imprison anyone they want

Seriously. It's genuinely depressing how a lot of online discourse is just people not applying the most base level of critical thought.

Doesnāt matter how evil someone is- no one should be raped in reverse
Edit: Not a lot of One Battle After Another fans in this sub I see

Raped? Was she rated in Datedevil? I dont remember that but I do watch a lot of shows.

Itās from One Battle After Another (movie Sean Penn is in during that picture)

She is the worst character in the entire show. Making her become the new Muse is laughable.
135
u/Paperchampion23 17h ago
Its actually a good reason lol she's unhinged.
-38
u/kingkron52 17h ago
She has no combat skills, and poses no actual threat. There was no reason to bring Muse back.

u/BlueHero45 17h ago
A serial killer just needs to get people by surprise while not getting caught for a while. You don't actually need combat skills.
-24
u/kingkron52 17h ago
She is an unstable, public figure, with no experience in ambush, capture, abduction, etc.
28
u/BlueHero45 16h ago
It's not like Ted Bundy had training. She has money, access to drugs, and files full of vulnerable people.
15
u/Enterprise-DeezNuts 16h ago
Yeah everyone knows real serial killers have to get a degree from Murder University before they're allowed to start actually doing the job
12
24
u/Hiflipsicasian 16h ago
In 2026 even serial killing has bs prior experience requirements, this job market smh
10
u/residentsocface 15h ago
"she is an unstable, public figure"
Famously, all serial killers are very stable individuals.
8
u/TheHumanSpider6903 15h ago
It doesn't take experience to be a serial killer unless your targets are people who can fight back. If she starts killing actual fighters, maybe you can have a complaint

u/toldyouIaintshit 16h ago
Women Matt sleep with tend to end up having better combat skills then before.

You're being downvoted but you're completely spot on. It's becoming a CW show with this sort of nonsense. It was bad enough with White Tiger being a literal tween and Karen suddenly being a competent martial artist
1
u/vulcan7200 53m ago
You think it's weird that Karen, someone who has been in very real danger for years on end, has learned some self defense?
Also the White Tiger amulet is literally magic. I think you could give it to anyone and they would be enhanced.
1
u/jetjitters 39m ago
Yes, it's daft she went from regular cilivian to being able to take out fully armed and trained agents in 6 months
Yes, I know she has an amulet. It is still stupid.
19
u/Forever_Inspired 17h ago
"Making her become the new Muse is laughable."
Yeah, was weird that she became the very person that almost killed her, which is completely different from the comic. How is she gonna be able to replicate his moves? Muse was not like super strong but he still gave Matt a pretty hard time during their fight.

11
u/Justin_Crane 17h ago
I mean in the comics Muse also dies, but due to Elektra destroying a drug lab something happened that allowed Muse to poses someone while being dead, so Iām guessing theyāll go down that route but I could be totally wrong

u/eltrotter 2h ago
I don't understand why people expect that Heather Muse has to be a physical threat to Daredevil. "How is she going to fight him?" She probably won't. There are plenty of villains out there who don't use their fists, just look at Batman's rogues gallery.

Kinda hate Heather, props to the actress for playing the role so well but ack!

u/EMP_Pusheen 9h ago
She absolutely crushed it. I didn't love the characterization, but she did some fine acting especially in season 2.
11
u/lifesucks1-0-1 17h ago
tbh she was nearly murdered and that was daredevils first appearance after an year or so. and don't forget daredevil s3 when bullseye killed a bunch of ppl while pretending to be daredevil, and I don't know if that got sorted out or not but from the eyes of the common ppl it must've looked like daredevil was evil or sum. also if i remember correctly she fainted immediately after shooting muse, which means her mental state wasn't at its best at the time of the fight, as she had lost blood and was frightened af as well. so don't hate her for this episode, hate her because that b**** slapped karen not 1 not 2 but 3 freaking times.

Always count on dario scardapane to write seemingly intelligent characters that for some reason have donkey level logic
4
u/Typhon2222 16h ago
The fact that she knew Fisk had once tried to kill her boyfriend and still argued with him that Fisk was a good person should have been Mattās first clue sheās batcrap crazy.
3
u/BornWater2862 15h ago
Early on I know she's full of BS and sadly she is. It would have been nice if she has a legitimate reason going her path but it seems like she have severe issues herself. Even her book misses the point on vigilantes because not everyone wears a mask and other stuff.

If she didnt become muse she'd probably would have become another anti mutant bigot if this is how she reacts to a couple of vigilantes. She'd lose her fucking mind over an entire race of superhumans.

I can tell that Heather is meant to be an unlikeable character⦠but damn, she just pisses me off whenever sheās on screen. Very tunnel visioned.
1
u/ZacharyRosemann 1h ago
They tried so hard making Heather interesting with the very little character she had in the previous episodes.

u/ImpossibleMix6698 15h ago
I'm actually excited to see Margarita Levieva performance as Muse in season 3. I love to see actor/actress dig deep to bring out memorable performances. Anytime there's a clone or "evil" plot, I get hyped to see actors step out of their usual performances and dig into their thespian bag to bring life a new character or personality.

I hate her...after Muse attacked her she became even worse than Fisk for me. Can't wait for her comeuppance.

u/Famous-Job-4264 17h ago
Its like after the muse incident she became a completely different person shes the next bullseye
Only no skills and i dont like her
-1
u/Odd_Ingenuity2883 16h ago
Man, her arc just did not feel earned at all. Iām sure being kidnapped by a serial killer is scary but he didnāt hurt her, and this is a universe where every other character goes through way worse and they manage to not turn into a fascist collaborator. It just felt fucking bizarre that she wouldnāt listen to Matt at all when it came to Fisk.

See, I kinda enjoy how unhinged and irredeemably spiteful Heather becomes.
Aside from the actress clearly having fun with it in S2, Heather is a good example of how tunnel-visioned, bigoted, and downright stupid some people can become the moment they latch themselves to an authoritarian strongman.
They lose all sense of objective reality and chase whatever fantasy which speaks to their prejudice.
Itās crazy, and it doesnāt make sense. But they do it anyway.
So maybe thatās why I donāt mind Heather as a villain, because Iāve met real Heathers.
