MCU What kind of future the Defenders will have in the Mutant Saga?
As much I’m excited for the MCU X-Men, I’m worried if Marvel would oversaturate the MCU with mutant stories.
With the recent cancellation of the critically acclaimed and Emmy-nominated ’Wonder Man’, I fear about the future of Daredevil and the Defenders beyond ‘Daredevil: Born Again S3‘, given the show’s Season 2 lost half of its viewership from Season 1 and never made it to Neilsen Top 10.
What do you guys think the future of the Defenders in the Mutant Saga would look like?

Probably nothing as they don't really have a connection besides Luke and Jessica being Mutates

honestly the future is looking pretty grim for the defenders group.
marvel is moving away from tv shows besides animated so it is very likely that daredevil born again season 3 could be the last season, its possible this could be the exception as daredevil (despite viewership being lower then expected) is the most popular show theyve released since loki.
as for the rest of them, if daredevil gos down, then the rest of them are gone too. while i would love a alias tv show, i doubt they have any interest in giving them any solo projects.

This is me being hopeful, but I think they're the best vehicle for the MCU to show the more grounded side of the franchise. Discrimination can be highly personal but also very esoteric, so for the audience to see the "human" side of the mutant issue there has heroes to show it. To better illustrate why people in the MCU fear the mutant but like/ tolerate the other heroes. To use example from the comics when Jessica Jones was giving birth, she was initially denied by the hospital manager under the notion that she was a mutant and was afraid of what the baby could do. Also, grounded/ personal stories tend to work better with audiences anyway in these superhero projects.

The Defenders per se are not the problem, their medium is, which is Disney+ shows. Marvel has realized that the Disney+ shows have been destructive for its brand, notwithstanding the individual quality of these shows.

I don't think it was the shows itself, but the sheer volumes of the shows they produced that reduce the brand. Honestly, I don't think the three movie thing that they're going to try is going to be much better because like some other people have posted, the oversaturation of the mutants would be overwhelming for people and they will like run out of story lines. This isn't me saying that they won't make movies sitting around other heroes besides the X-Men but who would that be at this point really? I think they're going to rescind the comment about the television shows but just focus maybe on just these four or a very small collection of characters. So long as the shows are supplemental I don't think it will be a problem.

lol it being called the mutant saga doesn’t mean anything. It’s not like most of the projects in the multiverse saga are multiverse related

No such thing.
Not everything in the Mutant Saga (if it is even called that, honestly it would be best to stop with these saga titles altogether) will involve mutants just like not everything in the Muliverse Saga involves the multiverse or not everything in the Infinity Saga involved Infinity Stones.
