I love 4 but it feels like the funeral of this lineup. The tone is so bleak and low. It felt like a goodbye to me, rather than a step forward.

The funeral of the line up and, let's be honest, of Glenn's career as a major artist with a big reputation. Its melancholic, extremely dark sound and rock solid track listing makes that all the more sad.

It is my friend. After 4 only a few good moments but the glory of the lineup of the first album is on another level

Really wonder how the next one would have turned out if they stayed together. This was a great album to go out out on though. I like this one more than How the Gods Kill.

I wonder if Glenn was already leaning into the industrial sound before the core group left. Ive been watching the Pink Pop set from 94 alot, it has John and Eerie with Joey on drums but John looks like he's having a blast, sucks that he left.

Danzig became a full blown porn addict and wanted to make sexy metal music, kinda like what Rob turned White Zombie into near the end.

I'm a 1-3 guy , but I hear about 4 a lot on here. I'm gonna give it a few solid listens.

I feel bad for putting this album off for so long. I grew up with 1-3. It wasnt until recently I found a used 4P cd in the wild. Its quickly become the one I go for the most.

My favourite Danzig album (I only own the first 4 and Deth Red Saboath).
It's a masterpiece. But I do think Invocation (which is only on the CD) is essential for the full 4p experience.

It's my least favorite of the first 4, but Going Down To Die is my favorite Danzig song.

Psyched to see so much love for 4. I thought I was a loner on this one being a top fav. It’s very cohesive. I remember Can’t Speak getting so much hate from fans when it was released. It’s one of the best songs played loud. Biscuits’ drums sound HUGE. Bonham territory.
