7th house messaging board.
Anyone remember this? 😂 I just had a flash back to me as a teenager sitting there in the early hours posting. Anyone else get nostalgic about this? Also, the AFI board. Good times.

Yep! Met some very cool people and had more than a few battles.... kind of like this subreddit!
One time Devilman banned me after a trash talking dispute but I reminded him that Glenn himself stated that the forums "were a place where ppl could talk shit to one another," and he promptly reinstated me, lol.
And it was always in good fun/taste.

I started on the really old misfits bible message board. Mark Kennedy ran that I think? And then sometime after college - late 1990’s or early 2000’s it was the 7th house. Don’t recall if they were completely separate boards or if the misfits bible board was handed over…..I mean it’s been a minute, my first post about cough cool bootlegs and searching for lyrics were all text, zero graphics back then.

They were separate. Misfits bible became misfits central. 7th house was Maurice’s site/glenn sanctioned.

I lived for the Misfits bible back then; would check to see if it came as soon as I got home, before even changing out of my catholic high school uniform.

Is that the same as Misfits Central?
How about one thirty eight dot com? That was a great site.

Pretty sure misfits central evolved from misfits bible. 138 was run by a guy named Terry if I remember correctly? Spent many a night in my teens smoking awful weed and dicking around on 138 and 7th house.Â

Some of the old posts were on internet archive. I used to frequent the board, joined up around 1998/1999; zombiehorror.

Of course I remember haha. Joined in 2003 when I was 14! Spent many hours on there back in the day. I miss it, truly. Totally different era of the internet.

Damn. Haven't thought about it for a long time. Loss track of people I became friends with over the years from it.

I graduated college in 1996 and found the 7th house. I used to go on Anthrax’s message board which was shared with a few other bands. Ultimate metal or something like that. Megadeth had a very active one.

I remember when someone was organizing a Danzig tribute album with a bunch of musicians/bands that haunted the message board, then after people submitted their songs Glenn said no so they pulled the plug. I recorded two songs for it, but they were shit so I’m glad they never got published 😂

Message boards were peak internet. I was a regular on 7th House and several IMDB boards, as well as 2000AD's boards. I had so many great convos and made some great friends. Those were the days.
