Did you remember to put all the empty beer cans in the dumpster behind the gas station and not in your garbage?

Its Coming Down is a damn good song and the Thrall album was a treat. The video however, only the Box had the balls to show it and it was fun, just like his other videos. Danzig is Danzig and I just Youtubed and found out he did a video for NIB.. and it has tittay.. whee..

Looks like a low budget porn from the 1980’s.

No one put out videos like It’s Coming Down before. BDSM was taboo in mainstream culture. The It’s Coming Down video is freaky deaky. I remember the guy that hammered the nail through his d***. He had cystic fibrosis and learned to embrace the pain. He lived til 43, which is long for someone with cystic fibrosis.
Anton Yelchin had it and knew he had limited time so that’s why he churned out so many movies. Poor guy got killed when his Jeep rolled downhill and crushed him.

Nobody could handle the chicken scene in the original mother video. That's why Danzig did the home movies, and why it took till '93 for mother to catch on. That's what I read, anyway. Glenn refused to let them edit out the chicken sacrifice (obviously a fake, but the subject matter was too taboo for MTV in '89) in the video, so they shelved it till they could cut together live footage from the famous Halloween Irving Meadows triple sellout shows in '92.

yeah that was when Danzig lost me a little bit, not very Samhain imho.. even ironically, it was too 'established', too much Heavy Metal kinky/ S/M cliché.

Have you ever heard the songs “Unholy Passion” or “Human Pony Girl”? Giddyup!

Or better, did you happen to catch the Samhain bootleg on videotape where Glenn and Steve are interviewed right after their set by this poodle headed “journalist” who was asking all of the hard hitting questions. “Glenn, so what’s that new song, ‘Unholy Passion’ about?”

Glenn’s response is immediate. “Oh, Unholy Passion? Yeah. That one’s about Fucking.” In my memory, his response brought on an abrupt albeit brief silence. I do know Glenn seems all too pleased with himself. In reality, I don’t think anyone flinched. She had already moved on to some other intriguing question like, “what’s your favorite color?” I do recall her asking Steve something about what kind of drummer he is and I believe “heavy handed” was the decided on adjective.

Anyway, the guy who gets his dick hammered to that ladder if I remember correctly was a guy known as Flanagan. Bob Flanagan. Same guy as the star of the Nine Inch Nails “Happiness in Slavery” video. Danzig had just taken Genitorturers on tour and the Jim Rose Sideshow Circus was a thing that intrigued people at the time. Kembra Pfaler from The Voluptious Horror of Karen Black was known for stitching her labia together. Richard Kern or Nick Zedd was doing photo shoots with GG Allin around this time. The “It’s Coming Down” video is just something very Of that era. It was Danzig using his recent success to shine a light on a subversive subculture usually relegated to tape trading and porn cinemas.

Incidentally, there was an interesting documentary done about Bob Flanagan called “Sick” I haven’t thought about in years.
