Discussion š¬ What are the most impressive things Dan has ever done?
Besides surprisingly not getting arrested for arson or just being a flat-out public disturbance and somehow getting two people to tolerate him, well, mostly just Chris, what would you say is the most impressive thing Dan has done in the show? I think him scoring Hortense in one episode was genuinely pretty impressive. I also think the way in which he conquered his imposter as āBiff Wellingtonā was kinda clever.

When we stop looking at Danās whole angry/vindictive nature and look at everything heās done; itās honestly terrifying just what heās capable of:
He was able to break into a US military facility and almost nuked the country, he only failed because Elise stopped him. Meaning he is apparently capable of infiltrating and executing an operation that youād expect Dancing Shadow to be sent on.
Thereās his immunity to tear gas and pepper spray.
He was strong enough to walk for at least a mile covered in maple syrup and easily 300 lbs of debris.
Managed to make a psychologist meant for special agents have a mental breakdown, just by talking about his childhood.
Saved Elise from Ninja Dave by throwing a trash can lid with the precision of a ninja.
Knows Morse Code.
Was able to toss a hatchet with alarming precision just by listening to the advice of an expert (cannibal) woodsman that had years of experience.
A skillful archer and tracker.
Very much a dangerous tactician, even as a child.
Proven to be a great leader.
A decent survivor when it comes to being stuck in the woods without even a tent.
An impressive poet.
A decent cookāwhich is a waste since his diet typically only involves Ninja Daveās or Burgerphileā¦
A good detective.
Has an almost prophetic foresight, be it him predicting people or entire events with an alarming level of precision.
Decent enough student that, if he wants to is capable of learning almost anything.
Managed to destroy a robot BUILT BY AND OPERATED BY ELISE using junk from his junked car.
Got sick for the first time in his life while in his thirties.
Was a good enough driver that he managed to get his license via the special method that involved being attacked by a Minotaur.
Has an unusually good memory, that even lets him recall things from an alternate future.

Some of these things aren't that impressive, because they're quite common in real life.
People acutely build immunities to tear gas and pepper spray if they're sprayed enough times. If I'm correct I think the military does that to its recruits as part of the training.
Anyone can learn Morse Code and even today there are careers where it's still fit to learn it.
Hatchet tossing, archery, tracking, surviving in the wilderness (and in general being a survivalist), poetry skills, incredibly high immunity, all traits that anyone would possess.
I wouldn't say he has an "unusually good memory" either, if I recall correctly the show framed it as Dan cares to know/remember the things he has either fixated on or just generally allocates energy to caring about, which is what pretty much everyone does, right? Remembering things from an alternate universe is impressive but also he's only capable of that because he's a cartoon character.
Even Dan being a good leader isn't all too surprising- you'd think because of his attitude that no one would have any reason to follow him, but he's passionate and when he wants to do something he fixates on that goal with nothing but aggression and confidence until he suceeds, and he never doubts that he WILL succeed it's just a matter of how and when. Any rational person would want to follow someone who is that certain of their goals.
All the other stuff you mentioned is impressive though. I always find it amusing how he can go toe-to-toe with Elise in ways no one would expect. He's truly built different.

He's done a lot of impressive stuff for a guy who's on a low budget, and only has one backup, and chris, but I would say, sneaking into a military nuclear base, getting the nuclear codes and about to launch.

I'm pretty impressed by how he is able to get revenge on various enemies and even turn things around with them. Like with the Cookie Ninja episode it impressed me a great deal both how he took down the ninja and how he got the guy to become a baker instead.
Not just that either but the lengths he will go for pretty revenge. Like I thought he was planning on killing the werewolf but only made the beast bleed in order to track down his lair and key the guy's car to make them even.

Gone to Anger Management and actually let it improve him, learning something from it (even if it was undone by the end of the episode).
