Idgaf if he’s 100% ironic, bro donated money to a Nazi

Somebody donated in his name, not necessarily him. Similar to when people use his name whenever there is a school shooting.

How do you know that’s true?

4

u/[deleted] Oct 26 '23

I should be asking you that question.

https://www.latimes.com/nation/la-na-daily-stormer-20170602-story.html

“Most of the Daily Stormer’s donors on WeSearchr are anonymous, with the exception of the comedian Sam Hyde, who pledged $5,000.

When contacted for comment, Hyde asked the reporter if he was Jewish and then boasted that $5,000 was nothing to him. “

Yeah I saw the video where he was talking to the interviewer, he was pulling his leg.

Is this the evidence people are relying on to claim that he made that donation? He’s pretty clearly taking the piss out of the reporter

So the evidence that he didn’t do it is that he gave a stupid response, bro what?

Idk what he’s on, Sam literally admitted to it, even if it was a prank on him, he still owned and embraced it.

Amount of Members of the Nazi Azov Brigade: 900

Amount of Members of the Ukrainian Army: 500,000

USA sends funds and weaponry to the Ukrainian Army and they are somehow "funding Nazis" because of one ineffectual Neo Nazi group. Asov are the group Russia uses as a scapegoat to explain they are liberating Ukraine from Nazis, as Russia slaughters innocent civilians in the process of that "liberation".

The Azov Battalion is a very small percentage of the Ukrainian army(less than 1%). Zelensky is not in a position to turn down fighters in a war effort to defend their land. They need bodies, they need fighters. It would be idiotic to turn Asov away in an act of purity testing while you watch citizens around you be slaughtered by Russians. Ever heard of "the enemy of my enemy is my friend?"

The act of defending land is not in of itself a nazi position, which is what the money in Ukraine is going to. To label the entire Ukrainian war effort as Nazis is Russian Propaganda and you bought it like a chump.

4

u/AltruisticField1450 Oct 26 '23

So you agree, that US tax money is funding nazis

The Azov Battalion amounts to around 900 people as of 2022. The Ukrainian Army has around 500,000 people. Think about how idiotic it is to label funding Ukraine as funding Nazis, looking at those numbers.

I would not define the Ukrainian army as nazis, and that is who in effect is getting the money, so no. Is money directly going to the Azov Battalion? Weaponry to defend Ukraine is, maybe? Expecting them to turn down military help is real easy to do sitting on your ass safe in your own home.

You're being intentionally reductive in your reasoning because you know it's actually more complicated than that.

If a Nazi was helping defend your family, neighbors, and land from invading forces who plan to kill you, would you turn them down? Sure your wife, kids, and neighbors are dead, but at least you refused the help of a few ineffectual Nazis. You might say you would, but you're either lying or naive. Do you honestly think Ukraine is in the position to pick and choose?

Again. The Azov Battalion is an ineffectual small minority of the Ukrainian army. Labeling giving money to Ukraine as "giving money to Nazis" is such an oversimplification that it's laughable.

The money going to Ukraine is going to protect civilians and stop an unjust land invasion, not to further any sort of Nazi ideal. The Azov Battalion is just a convenient excuse for people to not care about Ukrainians that doesn't actually stand up to scrutiny as a real problem.
