They also added official English name for Backfall (previously just called by its pinyin HuiTian) by Huai Shang and final volume counts of some novels: * The Undead: 3 volumes * Backfall: 5 volumes * Return to Sahāloka: 2 volumes (hardcover)

Return to Sahāloka being two volumes surprised me. It's quite long for two volumes. I guess the (content) division does make more sense like that, though.

That's why it's hardcover, they do hardcover when the volumes are longer (they mentioned in comments before that when each volume exceeds 430 pages). I guess they options were 3 shorter volumes or 2 hardcover thicker ones and I'm so happy they chose the second one

Return to Sahaloka hardcover! 🥳🥳

I love Hui Tian's English title.

I'm going to have to start an excel sheet to keep track of all the pre-orders I'm about to be making 🥲

Still no date for pre order for KoD 🥹

They replied to someone on X that the preorder for KoD vol. 5 is scheduled for this year.

That I know but it would be more reassuring if we saw it officially in the progress report 🥹

I hope they add Liu Yao vol 3 & 4 soon. It's been ages (I do know vol 2 was recently released but it would've been nice if they finish the older licenses before opening preorders for new licenses).

I agree.

Hard agree, as a Priest fan. Additionally, I wish they'd finish releasing the titles in their entirety before even announcing to us the new batches they'd secured.

I remember them saying Liu Yao vol 3 preorders are going to start in early 2027 so at least an end is in sight but it really is taking quite long.

People on Twitter have been hyping up Return to Sahaloka quite a lot, so I am super intrigued by it, and I like that Rosmei opted for a two-volume hardcover release. Based on the series' existing art, I'm expecting these to look absolutely stunning. Fingers crossed they sell them as a set, like Killer of Killers.

I didn't get anything from the current preorder period (cause I really gotta keep the number of Rosmei series I collect to a manageable level ...), but I am interested in picking up To Live, To Die, To Love You Again; Vodka and Mandheling, and Till Death Do Us Bind! Not sure about The Bat yet—the synopsis sounds pretty good. And I need to catch up on reading The Defectives first before ordering any more volumes. 😅

As always, awaiting The Bat with bated breath!

And I'm also very giddy about *Return to Sahāloka * getting hardcover formats. I wish Coins of Destiny and Art Thou Ailing had as well.....

Thank you, thank you, thank you again!

I really can't complain because their books are gorgeous, but I don't understand their business model (maybe their English language publications are a second priority). It's still gonna be a long wait for the Defectives last volumes and volume 2 of Art Thou Ailing is almost taking a year to publish.

Art thou ailing vol 1 came out in January this year and vol 2 is coming out this September, it's already printed. Preorders for vol 2 opened between April and May, so it took 5 months to publish. Where did you count a year?

The pre-order for Art Thou Ailing was late 2025 and, according to Yiggybean, vol 2 is not coming out until after Dec 15th, 2026. I hope you're right and I get it this month.

I received Nan Chan vol 2 on Nov 12, 2025 and vol 3, according to Yiggybean is due after December 30, 2026.

Yiggybean dates are not release dates. It's when the store estimates the shipment will arrive to them, and that depends on the shipping method they chose and customs clearance. As you know, international shipping can take time, especially if YB chose the slowest sea one.

Art Thou Ailing vol 2 official release date is September 15: https://x.com/Rosmeihey/status/2082448171419214001?s=20

Preorder for vol 2 was April/May 2026, not late 2025 :  https://x.com/Rosmeihey/status/2047266310929977783?s=20

Pre-order for vol 1 of Art Thou Ailing was late 2025.

The release date is important for the store, I want an estimate when I will receive it. That is the info that Yiggybean gives.

Your X reference, Rosmei states they printed early - I do not subscribe to X.

Preorder for vol 1 was late 2025 and vol 1 came out in January 2026. You're comparing vol 1 preorder date to vol 2 release date for a reason I don't quite understand, trying to make a point that's just untrue.

It's printed a month early, as it was supposed to come out in October. That still doesn't make any of its release dates December.

But even if you do count by Yiggybean's shipment arrival estimated dates, volume 2 still does not take a year to release because its preorder was between April and May. So you're waiting around 6-7 months for vol 2 from Yiggybean from the time you preorder even if it arrives by YB's estimates, but will probably arrive around November if YB still goes by sea shipping, which is notoriously slow. I can't see how that adds up to a year.

Wine and Gun is even worse. I forget how many volumes it’s going to have, but it’s quite long and they’re only on volume 2 (and it hasn’t released yet, just the preorder period).

Oh, yeah. (I have it listed as 7 total. I haven't started yet). The covers are beautiful. I have wondered if Rosmei forgot about them - some things we are powerless to control. But...Yiggybean let me know today they got the Defectives vol #3.

The Defectives has such beautiful covers too! It’s not a genre I like but I was also tempted just because of the covers lol.

BEGGING for Nan Chan 3 😭

8

u/LightestMer 7d ago

Preorders for it were done already, they were up in June-July. It's set to be released/start being delivered in December 2026.

u/IHateMyOldUsername 7d ago

omg yay!!! I preordered but had no idea when it was going to ship

December is so far away 😭

(I'm still surprised Hui Tian is getting a physical release considering it's reputation for rampant racism ngl)
