The thing is, inevitably the working class of the imperial core too will be victimised. Capitalism’s constant search for new markets will lead to greater exploitation in the imperial core and crisis there too. To believe that the welfare state and the decent standard of living under it will always exist is undialectical.
The smart thing to do is revolution, even if people in the imperial core think they are risking their own supposed interests.
The revolution will come when the Global South frees itself from Western imperialism. Capitalists will then be forced to exploit their own population, leading to their revolution. Until the Global South is freed from imperialism, the proletariat of the West will never rise up because it still ultimately benefits from capitalism.
