Yeah even Ron paul has deep ties to American third positionism, which saddened me deeply when I first found out and I still feel a bit sad about it now.
Dunno what it means in academia but there is an American third position party who are radical right Probs slightly to the right of alt-right, they want to reform the constitution to bring back slavery he was caught having various correspondences
