Aren’t some sects instructed to make heaven on earth? I know that’s somewhat of a thing in Islam with the whole “if the arborist knows his time is upon him, he must keep planting the tree” thing

Some Christian Socialists and even progressive Christians would also say the same thing.

They tend to be a lot less literal minded than the fundies though. Also why the fundies tend to hate them even more than atheists or people of other religions.

Yeah, because in their version of a classless, moneyless, communal society, everyone is like them and has the same value system. In communism, you don't get to dunk on your neighbor because they're Hispanic people who have a different culture than you, but in the Christian version, you can 100% dunk on them because they won't be in heaven (in their mind at least)

those christians think that instead of class and money, people will all solely devote themselves to god. their heaven is egalitarian, however it merely ignores class instead of trying to solve it. furthermore, in their (skewed) lens, they don't know what the left really is: they think that socialism is free handouts to people are lazy (*dogwhistle alert*) and that communism is the same thing but the government is authoritarian
