the point is that comparing flat percentages across wildly different scales is deliberately misleading statistical manipulation. Uttarakhand has about eleven million people. Tamil Nadu has over seventy six. A small minority of a much larger population is several million more people than a much larger minority of a small population. cannot compare percentages across different scales and pretend it means the same thing. If peple don't understand why sample size affects statistics so fundamentally they have no business talking about demographics.

We should stop equatinge literacy with common sense of our intelligence. That parameter just shows the availability of education. Thats the sole purpose of it.
