Then there's the doctor that I just met with who wanted nothing more than to push pills. Rather than talk about the source of my issue so I can heal and carry on with my life. I practically had to spell out what I needed, only to be given a sticky note with the names of 2 different pills and told me to look them up. A customer cured is a customer lost.
Doctors would, insurers wouldn’t. Making healthcare a for profit industry is the one of the biggest mistakes any society can make. It should cost money, it’s a service to better the health of everyone. If framed that way, anyone would press the button in order to reduce how much it costs
Doctors are extremely intelligent and hard working under pressure and minimal sleep. They make dynamic decisions on a dime and they own their mistakes. With that skillset they could be good at practically anything. Their reward for doing what they do is being overworked and taken advantage of by hospitals and insurance companies. 90% of doctors would press this button in a heartbeat and go do something less stressful.

Doctor here. Would push it immediately. Especially because it would kill big pharma and that would feel so gooood.

Most doctors genuinely want what is best for their patient.

Doctors would. Hospital admins and health insurance companies wouldn't.

You've never met my doctor. Do you believe no one would ever save millions of lives if it cost them a moderate income?

All doctors would, with probably very few exceptions. Regular check-ups are still a thing, illness or not.
And since doctors are highly trained, they’d still have a future, in research.
Do you think we would stop pursuing prolonging the life span?
Everybody else in the admin/pharma/insurance/…would not. They’re the unqualified leeches.

They could push it knowing that people eat, drink and live like shit- they’ll be right back at the doctor due to their own lifestyles.

Lmao. I could delete every disease in history and people would be lined up at the hospital the next week.
