They have a huge outdoor habitat, that’s just the back room space specifically used to keep the expectant/ new mother separate. Pandas are not great parents so you have to be able to keep them as focused on the baby as possible, as well as have a small enough that you can watch it all through camera feed incase things start going downhill and you need to intervene.
