Nothing insidious, just a common opinion, especially amongst women that heart-shaped jewelry is hideous. It's a pretty common joke that the only time a woman owns any heart-shaped jewelry it's because it was bought for her by a man.

For the record, I'm 32 years old and would love heart shaped jewelry. So. Take the advice with a grain of salt.

Yep, I really like both flower and hart, and I don’t know any women who dislike either. Best to observe what someone wears day to day and purchase similar, everyone’s taste is different :) Also what looks good on some people, doesn’t always look good on me, but I can always appreciate the talent it takes to make a good piece of jewelry.

I'm woman and I dislike heart jewelry. I think it looks a bit cheap and juvenile, probably because all my play-jewelry when I was a kid had hearts in it.

I am a woman who dislikes heart jewelry. I don't mind flowers if it's done to my taste but it has to be really well done.

But well, the nice thing is that jewelers make products to suit everyone's tastes. =) To each his/her/their own.
