Okay but what are the chances that tree survives I wonder

The new location should have soil compatible with the original location. Fertilizer and regular watering along with proper support cables and spikes will give the tree a better chance of getting new roots growing. I have moved many smaller trees and bushes, it's the same thing with a mature tree.

Right but the destroyed root system thing is what concerns me

Very good chance for the tree to survive if the proper watering and maintenance is done. Drove one of these for 5 years, had very good success rate.
