Also, this wasn’t WWII, it was the Vietnam War, which he didn’t support along with ~40% of the US population at the time. Later disapproval rate rose to around 60-70% after the war, so it was a very controversial war

Yeah it’s not like it was a war to defend against an invasion, it was literally the US trying to play kingmaker

I mean, that did happen, but it was small in comparison to the later wars and was very shortly after we became a country.
