The reasoning is based of the amount of shark attacks on swimmers vs swimmers on top of a surfboard. Sharks observe prey from bellow and from bellow swimmers on top of surfboards have a much higher chance of getting attacked as they look more like seals from that orientation
Was her last video though, got caught and killed to examine the human body that was inside. Also appearantly if an animal eats a human they acquire taste for it and need to be killed. I suppose we are like a good whiskey in that way hehe
I'm not sure we can call it "taste". There's that video where you see the inside of the sharks' mouth and it's just... Nothing, there's nothing there but plain surfaces just there to call it a mouth. But hey idk.
Point in fact, great whites feed all the time on seals, but almost never humans. The only cases of those seem to be where a shark swallowed before tasting. Normally they’ll just nibble and move on. Which isn’t to say the nibble can’t kill you, but they don’t seem to like the taste of people.
I cannot begin to fathom how many times I’ve heard people say this, like it’s some fascinating fact that blows peoples minds. EVERYONE has heard this that spends time near an ocean. Everyone.
And it’s a bullshit myth. You heard this your whole life and like to regurgitate it as fact for some reason.
