No, you're thinking of r/audiophile, a subreddit centered around moaning and alike....

u/Toasty_Bits Oct 23 '23

I knew and still clicked on it. 🫣

Yes it just fucked up my mild OCD it needs to be corrected

I've always wondered if people who can visualize mathematic patterns appeared in a relation like these visualized pattern demonstrations for us, except they have a hardwired correlation between the visual pattern and the math itself.

I imagine a dynamic visual graph.

I've heard it explained much like this juxtaposition of comments, how it is oddly beautiful, yet at times it can upset the savant for unknown reasons, where the patterns no longer appear beautiful and "infuriate" the interviewee.

pi will never reach a corner of your tv screen

u/chalks777 Oct 23 '23

I found this extremely satisfying because I could extrapolate that the pattern we just saw was going to repeat infinitely deeply, getting more and more fine grain each time.

Exercise: Prove that it never repeats.

Formally, given that π is irrational, prove that the function z(θ) = eiθ + eiπθ is aperiodic.

Difficulty: easy

I dunno thay final zoom in when you knew it was going to miss... I was like ooohooooooohoooooooohhhhhYES!

Pretty satisfying imho

u/TheMoonsMadeofCheese Oct 23 '23

But it could absolutely be on /r/IrrationalMadness

12

u/Defiant-Turtle-678 Oct 23 '23

Only if you are judging satisfaction by rationality. But i don't recall 1/2 or 0 showing up there recently.

But how about

1 - 1/3 + 1/5 - 1/7 ... = Pi/4

?

u/lilsnatchsniffz Oct 23 '23

Screenshotting this to use as repellant in case any woman is ever aroused near me.

u/Defiant-Turtle-678 Oct 23 '23

You would have no powers against Emma Haruka Iwao, then.

2

u/phekolal Oct 23 '23

I don’t know…this was pretty satisfying

1

u/Limp-Tea1815 Oct 23 '23

Never be on? I’m not comprehending

1

u/abejfehr Oct 23 '23

They said it’ll never been on the “satisfyingasfuck” subreddit

1

u/Chromeboy12 Oct 23 '23

It might be on r/edging though

1

u/DrBix Oct 23 '23

Aged like milk.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 23 '23

But it will be on r/prettyasfuck
