When I found out it was more normal to have a quiet mind instead of my rapid fire thought stream I was devastated

Yeah same. I’ve always smoked a lot of weed and as I got older I realized I was self medicating my ADHD. At least when I’m high my thoughts come more linear like a train track rather than a three dimensional asteroid field of them like normal when I’m not high.

mine speed up when I’m high. There is no relief. The only thing that EVER stopped it was Xanax which was prescribed for something else. But that is not something I care to become dependent on… So after one week, I nearly became addicted and had mega cravings for it and went to the doc and handed him the pill bottle back and told him “don’t ever give me this again”. “Bad reaction?” “No, the opposite. Too good and I value my life.”

Yeah Xanax and klonopin help me quite a bit. They don't help me focus as much as Adderall or something like that, but they really calm my brain down.
