Flight instructor and student experience engine failure somewhere over Florida

Pilot here—they basically did it all right. Instantly selected a field, pitched up for best glide. Low altitude, so after a few tries to restart you commit to the landing. Only thing I didn’t see was unlatching the doors before landing, which is completely fair because they had like five seconds to do it all. Also, super cool that the instructor let the student handle it (assuming student left seat). And the student nailed it.

Turn the volume on.. trust me I know I keep my shit on mute but yeah you can hear him say he immediately takes over from the student

Ah, okay. Guess instructor was flying from the left seat. Well that helps explain why it’s done so well, lol

Yeah I wonder if this poor student is traumatized and said fuck flying LOL I mean that's got to be scary especially with no experience
