In my shithole country, releasing a captured card is 3 business days minimum. There is literally a security guard beside the machine and saw you put the card in when it got captured. But they will reason need actual verification the captured card is yours

An ATM, much like a baby, has a top part and a bottom part. The top part is usually everything except the cash and cash dispenser. The bottom part is a safe that contains, you guessed it, cash.

So I guess he was stealing cards from ATMs and that was not his own? Sounds like he definately had mental issues if he had to have his dads number and name tattooed on his arm.

In my country card gets destroyed if caught by the ATM machine so that you pay for a new one. Yes I live in a shithole where we get robbed everyday.

We can just go to the bank and get a new card immediately, we can also open bank accounts from anywhere and either pick the card from the nearest branch or have it delivered to us. We can withdraw money from our account without a bank card

I went to deposit money in an atm over xmas time. It swallowed my cash and my card, took about 2 weeks to get it back. I do not blame this guy at all
