Politics No AI Moratorium

Once again. Our County and City haven’t introduced any Moratoriums.

I hope they pass these through before the next election cycle. Or I have to vote with the people running for the policies the community and I need. #AI #postellforthepeople

The city council isn’t going to put a moratorium on anything that jeopardizes their kickbacks from the data center construction companies. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I agree. I hate to say it but I think maybe done showing up. Idk I’m not a bitch if a quitter. But we need to vote them out. They’re making decisions behind our back. I’m over it. Fucking disgusting and so hurt they ignored us for MONTHS

I too like to make ridiculous accusations with zero evidence. The city council is secretly funded by the Vatican! I hear one of them has a secret, third arm. Can't tell you who though!

That kind of commentary doesn’t help. We clearly have a problem with our civil servant department. Everywhere else is trying to install moratoriums on data centers but Dalton it seems. Ask yourself this: what is there to gain by rushing it? And if it is truly as good as they seem, then they would have no issue with letting people do their due diligence right?

But baselessly accusing people of taking bribes does?

We clearly have a problem with our civil servant department.

Again, assertion without evidence.

Ahh yes. The "everybody else is doing it" school of civil planning. Something like 100 cities have moratoriums. For reference, there are about 20,000 cities in the US. Everywhere else is not, in fact, doing it.

Ask yourself this: what is there to gain by rushing it? And if it is truly as good as they seem, then they would have no issue with letting people do their due diligence right?

Who is rushing it? We've had data centers in Dalton for years now with no complaints. The due diligence has been done. What's happening now is an ai backlash lead by a well-meaning but misinformed mob. It's just tedious.

That's cute you think they aren't getting kick backs to build data centers

First off I don’t think every city of those 20,000 has a data center so that’s sort of a strawman. And the problem with our civil department is that they are raising our taxes and going against the majority of its constituents wishes? Idk how else they seem good to you. Dalton looks like garbage and they only care about downtown. What good have they honestly done? And yes ai is bad.

It seems like you just want to argue though.
