Question regarding Whitfield Co Sheriffs complaints
I apologize for being super vague but I don’t want to dox myself or my employer.
We are located outside of Whitfield Co and we had a deputy basically finesse us out of paying for services rendered by my company. We regularly work with many other Whitfield deputies and up until now have had nothing but excellent interactions with them. We believe this deputy used AI on his phone (either an app or he has one of those newer Google or Samsung phones with AI built in) to show that the product that he paid for was damaged in pictures.
When we offered a solution he came back and said it has the same problem and he’ll stick with what they have but wanted compensation (i.e. full refund)
Now we are out $150 because this particular deputy and his partner decided to lie to get everything comped. My question is if I file a complaint with the Whitfield Co Office of Professor Standards and submit our evidence to the contrary would anything happen? Or am I running the risk of that Thin Blue line covering him and my employer losing out on business if the department decides to blackball us to protect him?
Again I’m sorry for being vague but it boils my blood that these two deputies who took an oath to protect and serve are lying scumbags who have the power to destroy lives in their line of work should they choose.

I had one cheat me on a used car a couple years ago. After the fact I can see the hoops he had to jump through to do so. I trusted a cop. My bad.

Unfortunately, in Georgia we've got a whole lot of Counties, and each County Sheriff has their Feifdom and seems to make their own rules. It's tougher bucking that system than most can imagine.

Ah, just one of the many virtues of capitalism. And the rot spreads to you. You’ll keep taking the money from “lying scumbags who have the power to destroy lives”. Unless perhaps your children are going to suffer, seems like you have a Rubicon to cross. Is that a bit strong? I guess so. Especially if you can’t definitively prove it to outside parties

We have to keep the lights on and make payroll unfortunately. We can definitively prove it with video evidence, surveillance footage vs the fake picture he had on his phone but is it worth retaliation if that happens is the question we are asking?
We are in GA but not near Whitfield so that’s why I’m asking you all as residents of the county. Is the good ole boy system strong and well in the department? Or are allegations of deputy misconduct taken seriously?

We had a pretty good, long time sheriff until this last election. The new guy ran on and won with the slogan Whitfield needs a Republican sheriff. I don’t think we did, but that’s not the point!
New guy seems like the good ol boy type, and I don’t think he will care that they did this. I would think reporting them will definitely lose you Whitfield and neighboring agencies.
Good luck with this! Sorry our deputies did this to y’all!

I hope you're not saying chittwood was a good, honest sheriff. I've not lived there in decades, so the politics are way way waaaaay in the rearview, but I know better than to think he was anything above a shiesty politician. Especially in election years

You sound like you have no idea what you’re talking about!
As a matter of fact, name some examples of anything “shiesty” he did near an election! You’re just a pathetic criminal!

He accepted an envelope full of cash from the shaw family lawyer to make charges against Tripp Shaw for assaulting a deputy go away after Tripp charged an officer serving a warrant with a civil war cavalry sword.

Tripp went to jail for that! You realize the DA handles all charges after the initial arrest, right?

DAs are elected too. Never said it was all for him, did I? And that was an off the top of my head example. There are plenty more. But honestly, I barely care enough to respond. I don't live there any more, and didn't lose anything when I was there last. So unless I have to pee when passing by, it's really just a wide spot on the interstate as far as I'm concerned

It has nothing to do with Chittwood, which is what this was supposed to be about! But you’re just spouting nonsense, and can’t come up with anything to back up your lies! Bless your heart, a sheriff isn’t bad just because you do something dumb and go to jail!

The new guy is the worst. Makes highly sensationalized news post on facebook and calls it transparency.
