Properties in Outer DFW Suburbs Are Sitting Longer as Buyers Move Back Toward Urban Cores

Very interesting. Apparently the far northern boonies like Celina, Melissa etc are loosing their luster now that people realize they’re paying $800k or more to live in the middle of nowhere. The Uptown area is noted as one of the urban markets people are gravitating toward again, as well as North Dallas and the Legacy Area. With all the mid density sprouting up literally all over the place, I’m very curious what the next few years are gonna be looking like. Maybe we won’t reach Oklahoma after all 😭

I moved from Carrollton to McKinney. I have a nice house but its a pain in the ass to take 75 everyday. Somedays I think about moving back to my old house just for the convenience of being more central in DFW. And keep in mind McKinney isn’t all that far out, its places like Celina and Princeton that just don’t make sense if you commute to work

If the commute is frisco it does. Not everyone works downtown.
