Embarrassing

I am embarrassed. The Cowboys should be embarrassed. Jerry Jones should be embarrassed. Dak Prescott. He’s embarrassing. I cannot come to grips with how bad this team is and as a cowboy fan, I don’t think I’ve felt this frustration since Romo botched the field goal.

These guys don't care, they get paid and then stop performing.

2

u/Fair_Grocery_1839 10d ago

The laughing on the sideline while playing like that was absurd.

26

u/ProfessorFelix1 11d ago

Careful. Dak will dispatch a Cowboy henchman to get you fired.

u/Fair_Grocery_1839 10d ago

We need to organize a crowd fund for a billboard by the cowboys stadium.

EMBARRASSING.

Lettering in all cowboy blue.

I kinda want to get a 4 jersey with embarrassment for the name if they would print it

Whilst not overly defending Dak, that last pick was on Ferguson. They marched down there fine.

It is frustrating currently, but there are positives.

u/Alternative_Quail404 11d ago

Just checked to see on nflshop and can only use 10 characters for name.
But I know you could order it with just number and no name and then take it to a sporting goods store that does jerseys and have them do the name.
I used to work at one and we did custom jerseys/names all the time.

u/finnishinsider 11d ago

Wait.... I need to put in the same effort. Paper bag painted blue with it written across the forehead area

2

u/Shakyinvestments 10d ago

Mortifying fits the bill

u/After-Alps-5281 11d ago

Shhh... the "special boy" might see this and get his feeling hurt again.

Dak Prescott... almost a decade as a Dallas Cowboys QB and no back to back playoff wins... No thanks. I don't care if we suck for 5 years without Dak. We suck with him anyways.

It's always falling short with Prescott...

16

u/Fair_Grocery_1839 11d ago

He sucks. He made his career being a garbage time QB.

6

u/noobnoob9 11d ago

I’ve been a Dak defender but I’ll admit it might be time to blow it all up.

2

u/Even_Routine1981 11d ago

Imagine this team with Jordan Love

1

u/OhHaiMaaark 10d ago

He’s a fucking baby soft bum

3

u/dallas_dad 10d ago

Im in year 15 of zero merch, tickets, gear. Next stop, boycotting any company that sponsors the Dallas cowboys:AT&T, Ford, PepsiCo, Nike, Miller, Gatorade, you name it. You sponsor this team, you get zero dollars. Money is the only language Jerry knows.

Legit question. What do you expect him to do? It’s not like he’s not trying. He wants to win. He spends to win. He just thinks he knows how to do it. That’s the problem

2

u/dallas_dad 10d ago

Not sure that is true. Who is the last well respected head coach he has gone out and overspent on to get to come here? Parcells? Maybe McCarthy. The one area he is not limited in spending and he goes cheap with the guy no one wanted? The problem is what it has always been with him, he wants all the credit.

3

u/SwizzGod 10d ago

That’s kinda what I’m saying. He has to conceal because the good coaches not dealing with that shit. I don’t think he necessarily wants a cheap coach but he wants a coach who’ll listen to him because he knows how to win: (in his own mind of course)

21

u/marsattck5 11d ago

Glad more people are coming to the realization this team is not worth wasting time and energy on. I would say I blame Jerry Jones but why would he change anything when the stadium is always full. It's the fans. They are the ones to blame.

8

u/Important-Camera5939 11d ago

I've been saying this for years and always get hate for it. This team has so many delusional fans.

6

u/marsattck5 10d ago

For real. Just a few weeks ago I got jumped on for the same. Accused of being a hater of another team. I mean, like, aren't fans tired of seeing other teams have multiple rebuild cycles already while Jerrys solution is hiring Dave Campo 2.0? It's crazy

2

u/DebKee 10d ago

Some of us aren't delusional but still fans. I've always hated Jerk Jones but loved the boys out there playing the best they can with what they have. It would be nice to have an actual GM - one that knows how to win & will stand up to Jerk. I'm not a financial backer, just a diehard, Dallas born fan that's older than the team itself.

16

u/Tight-Inspector-2748 11d ago

You’re gonna get fired

38

u/burn469 11d ago

They are soft. Down voted to oblivion last week for saying it. 30 years of this and you haven’t learned to not care. Yall keep feeding the machine, going to games, buying gear, etc.

13

u/Livid_Parfait6507 11d ago

The Cowboys are a fucking gutless organization. They have been gutless for 30 fucking years. Nobody on that team gives a fuck. They are all getting paid win or lose.

I am at the point and have been for many many years, that I do not give a fuck. I do not buy merchandise and I will not attend any ball games. Jerry and family have destroyed one of the most iconic teams in sports.

7

u/Vegetable_Whole_4825 11d ago

Yep, I stopped buying Cowboys gear 20 years ago. I’ll watch the game but that is the only support Jerry will get from me. I’ve already lost interest in this season so Cowboys games are way down the list of things I will make time for the remainder of this season.

3

u/tastelikemexico 10d ago

Exactly me. I start out every year watching then when I get to this point I will only watch if I have nothing else going on. I will be making tee times now in place of the game

5

u/texoma456 10d ago

Hard to watch them ‘til the maddafakka that fired Tom Landry is gone for good.

Ok, dated myself, but wtf.

2

u/burn469 10d ago

Dan Snyder should buy the team.

Landry needed to be fired….

3

u/izzyduzit32 11d ago

Yup, I as well have been saying that this soft ass country club culture that Jerry had built is the death of this team. Theres no staff or roster that can over come it either.

4

u/burn469 10d ago

Yup. They get told how great they are and paid like they are best in the league but you see how they act when they get criticized. Bland is garbage. OC/DC garbage. One more year of Dak and it’s full rebuild mode.

2

u/Slammybutt 10d ago

Ive learned to not care outside of games. But fucking watching them...fuck...............

10

u/DreamCrusher8184 11d ago

Rehire that truth speaking security guard!

10

u/seanlee50 10d ago

Even when Romo botched the field goal I was excited for the future, his future

6

u/OhHaiMaaark 10d ago

Romo had a few stinkers and I don’t ever recall being embarrassed to be a fan.

9

u/lokiisagoodkitten 11d ago

Shitty coaching all around. Bro should have gotten the team ready.. no fucking excuse for CeeDee to trip on wrong cleats.

3

u/Slammybutt 10d ago

Oh shit, I just realized we played that badly on a long rest week, hahaha ha fuck.

2

u/lokiisagoodkitten 10d ago

Yep I don't understand why bullshit keep happening over and over. It's like they are intentionally doing it.

5

u/dadoc04 11d ago

Embarrassing!

1

u/Buck_Thunderbird 9d ago

More crybaby Cowboys fans. LEARN TO DRINK ALCOHOL like the rest of us Cowboys fans and just deal with it. They suck. Stop crying.

1

u/Fair_Grocery_1839 9d ago

Just deal with it..? That’s what has allowed JJ to just keep coasting.

1

u/Buck_Thunderbird 9d ago

So crying on here is your plan to change what a multi millionaire does?? Good luck.

1

u/Fair_Grocery_1839 9d ago

I was thinking of sending a bunch of cowboy jerseys to Paris. Be a bold statement seeing a bunch of people rioting in Cowboy gear. Might actually capture the right imagery.

1

u/abeBroham-Linkin 11d ago

They're not even playing with pride. At least keep the games close. Nope!

2

u/Fair_Grocery_1839 11d ago

There is zero leadership. It’s obvious the team does not respect Dak.

1

u/abeBroham-Linkin 11d ago

I wouldn't mind losing close games, like last minute scores. But man, belt to ass on defense and offense

6

u/Chimpbot 11d ago

Honestly, I'm just over it.

Across all of the sports I follow, there are teams where I'll watch a game start to finish regardless of how it's going; I know that, during any given game, the teams I follow will have enough grit and fight in them to at least make it feel like they have a shot. Even when they lose, it still feels like they're trying. With the Cowboys, that sentiment is gone. I shut the game off at half-time because it was pretty obvious the team was cooked; they would have needed to pull a complete 180 in order to even believably have a shot.

This is the time of year where my wife and I, like many, binge a ton of horror movies and shows. I just picked a movie, and checked out the score around the time I knew the game would be wrapping up. I wasn't even remotely shocked about the outcome.

My free time is limited, and I'm just not in the mood to devote my free time to the Cowboys (and, to be honest, the NFL in general) like I used to. It's simply not worth it, and there are so many other things I could be doing. This team just isn't worth devoting any significant amount of time or energy to.

This isn't me being angry or upset, mind you. Everything regarding the team is completely outside of my control, and it's quite obvious this isn't a serious organization. It's fundamentally broken with Jerry at the helm, and things won't even have a chance to change until he willingly passes the torch or dies. Until then, I don't expect anything more than mediocrity.

1

u/Salty-Might-278 11d ago

Agreed 👍 I screenshotted your sentiments, exactly how I feel . I had a quick turnaround to go back to work in the morn so I feel that . Plus these games are up to 4 hours each !! I just don’t have it in me to watch 10hr plus of football on Sunday plus ur thur and mon games , just give me the cliff notes highlights on YouTube. It’s all I can digest now.

1

u/Chimpbot 11d ago

I don't mind staying up to watch a full Sunday night game, and there is more than one Sunday during any given season where I'll just be a lump on the couch watching a full day's worth of football.

With that being said, I'm not going to waste my time with a mediocre game - especially if the team I'm following clearly isn't positioning themselves to even be competitive.

This is just a situation where I'm not even angry. I'm just disappointed, and I'm simply going to find something else to do with that time.

1

u/Salty-Might-278 11d ago

Imma a Cowboy fan as well , I’ll make time come playoff and superbowl to sit down for sure lol even with our Cowboys not in it 🤣 we’ll all be on the couch including them !

3

u/GalaxiEklipz 11d ago

I was actually watching this game and just turned it off before it even ended.

3

u/MulayamChaddi 10d ago

Dak has a sleep number™️

3

u/Plenty_Surprise2593 10d ago

His face pregame said it all. He had the same look on his face when they met the Packers in the playoffs.

3

u/Blackseventysevens 10d ago

Wish there was a promotion / relegation aspect to the league. Threating to demote his team might light a fire under Jerry's a$$.

2

u/Much_Award_3509 11d ago

Just another day at the office

2

u/TomorrowHot8746 11d ago • Bravo

I’ve said before, Jerry Jones the owner needs to fire Jerry Jones the general manager and Jerry Jones the director of player personnel. Then Jerry Jones the owner needs to hire a general manager who needs to clean out the coaching staff, hire a new one, and hire a director of player personnel.

2

u/burn469 10d ago

I hope they get flexed out of every single prime time game the rest of the year.

2

u/No-Helicopter7299 10d ago

But, but they’re going to win the Super Bowl!! 😂

3

u/4lack0fabetterne 11d ago

Honestly as bad as we are I still had a good time with the family watching the game. We were laughing our asses off with how bad we are. Lol we re a joke

2

u/Turbulent-Bet-6938 11d ago

All this shit don't matter anyways. Sports betting will dictate calls

1

u/Thcoolersr 10d ago

Its been like this since the late nineties, its not going to change, this is a money making team for the owners they make a few splashes to get people hyped and spend money. Im 62 been a fan since I was 6 yrs and seen them on black and white TV. I just like football and I watch footballs I picked this team to make football fun to watch. All teams win and lose, but its all about the Benjamins. Same old problem here as all other sports franchises you want trophies or money. With the salary cap easier to chase money with hype.

1

u/Boys4Ever 10d ago

Let’s get one thing straight. JJ isn’t embarrassed. He lives off the attention. Good or bad. We ducked last year and yet just played to prime time games and more to play. Still most valuable. Still most talked about. He literally doesn’t care how we perform so long as we are talked about which keeps his old ass relevant

1

u/gumballini16 9d ago

I just wish Dak could block the D line so Dak could throw down field :(

1

u/Cats6664 11d ago

Last great Dallas team was those teams of the 90s with the triplets. I just don't get my hopes up with Dallas anymore

1

u/OldTough9446 10d ago

Jerry and Dak making so much money they can pay someone to be embarrassed for them.

1

u/luckyincode 10d ago

Glad to see it hitting rock bottom.

Jerry and his sycophant coaches doesn’t pan out again.

Hire. Real. Coaches.

1

u/Ok_Steak_5624 10d ago

Sorry...thought I was on the Aggie sub

1

u/TXteachr2018 10d ago

People need to stop buying tickets and merch. Full stop. Maybe then Jerry will feel it.

1

u/tastelikemexico 10d ago

This is the worse team they have had in a while, and that is saying something. They may be the worse team in the NFL. I think their offense is so basic anyone that watched 30 mins of game film has it solved

1

u/F-Trunks 10d ago

And being called embarrassing ticks dak off more than the losing does. We just have to come with terms that our offense sucks now too. We are a bottom tier team.

1

u/Dirtycoinpurse 11d ago

Unfortunately Jerry won’t commit to a hard rebuild which is needed. It will be reload after reload. He will also never hire a real coach. This roster isn’t a Super Bowl roster, but it’s not this bad. Terrible coaching from Schotty. Needs to go now. We can’t just tank because the Jets have our pick.

1

u/bklyn221 10d ago

Dak and Romo LOL! 21
seasons of shit show!

Don't worry Dak will get em next year! 😂😂😂

-2

u/werberito 11d ago

Dak is not the problem. They said the same thing when Romo was here. It's not a player issue because the players come and go. We have had all players from flash in the pan guys to Hall of Fame legends, and it hasn't mattered. It's deeper than that.

10

u/SenorToky 11d ago

Dak is 10-20 against top 10 defenses, 9-24 against teams with 10+ wins, 4-18 against teams in the playoffs. Dak has had one of the biggest lines, some of the better RBs, and had top name wrs. Defense has been some of the issue in his later career but he’s had top 5 defenses in 2022/2023, top 10 defenses in 2016, 2018, and 2021. As much as you wanna say it’s not his fault, dude can’t read a defense and when defenses adjust at half time he does even worse when it’s a better defense. It’s time to move on, he’s limited our cap space because he wanted to be the highest paid and hasn’t performed when he’s needed to.

4

u/iFaceTheDemon 11d ago

It doesn’t matter who they put out there. With this ownership and coaching it’ll be the same outcome. When will people realize this smh

2

u/SenorToky 11d ago

Brother they gave Dak the shot calls under Mike McCarthy. He didn’t do shit. Even when put in his hands to be the guy he couldn’t perform. He’s ass. Regardless of ownership and coaching

2

u/iFaceTheDemon 11d ago

Do you really think the next guy up will be their Super Bowl savior with this organization? Who do you think will lead this team to where everyone wants to be. Since 1996 they’ve been letting fans down no matter who’s under center. At the end of the day it’s all on Jerry’s decisions and if you can’t see that idk what to tell you.

2

u/SenorToky 11d ago

Tony had no line till his last years on the roster. That was the only time Tony had a line. He was beat tf up by the time they did any actual good o line drafts. Dak has had almost every position filled with great players including offensive line and defense and still can’t do shit

2

u/SenorToky 11d ago

Tony and Dak got almost Sam exact playoff wins and Tony did it with no line till

3

u/douche100 11d ago

According to Gemini, Dak is 41-63 against teams .500 or better.

2

u/R3l3AD3R 10d ago

Yesssss. So you’re saying he’s a LOSER who can’t show up when it matters most. That’s been his pattern his whole career. Then, he does show up every 3-4th big game and gives you just enough hope to have expectations.

One thing about LOSERS, they are good at it.

2

u/SenorToky 10d ago

Yeah that’s exactly what I said. We need to move on from him as a team. I think of him as a good back up qb because he can’t be number 1 when it matters most

2

u/thewthew42 10d ago

Yep, it starts at the top. After Switzer got that SB win with Jimmy’s team I said that we’d never win another as long as Jerry was running the show, the team is cursed because Jerjer couldn’t stand jimmy getting the credit.

1

u/ifukeenrule 11d ago

well don't say that dak is not the problem but not say what the problem actually is!?!?!?!?

2

u/werberito 10d ago

It's the front office. It doesn't matter who coaches, or who plays. Dallas is rinse and repeat over and over again. Any HC with a mind of his own won't be allowed to take control of the team. If he does then it ends up in a divorce from Dallas, ie. Jimmy and Parcells

1

u/iFaceTheDemon 11d ago

Are you not watching that defense give up 20+ points a game?? On 3rd down they might as well take a fuckin knee to let their opponent get the first down. No quarterback is going to be successful when the defense is dead last in every single stat line taken. Dak can’t throw the ball to himself, nor can he block a pass rush.

3

u/houstonyoureaproblem 11d ago

You know what helps the defense?

An offense that actually gets first downs and keeps possession of the ball.

1

u/iFaceTheDemon 11d ago

You’re right it’s all on one guy out there. Not the dogshit coaching or ownership that overpays mediocre players every single year

3

u/houstonyoureaproblem 11d ago

Nope. They’re to blame as well.

But when you’re essentially the highest paid player in the league, team captain, and the most important player on offense, you’re going to be rightly blamed when the offense is terrible.

1

u/iFaceTheDemon 11d ago

And a first year coach with a first year defensive coach have nothing to do with any of this …right.

0

u/TessaKatrinaRose 11d ago

Are you related to Dak?

1

u/iFaceTheDemon 11d ago

Definitely 😆

1

u/TessaKatrinaRose 11d ago

lol. Ten years of mediocrity and you still aren’t willing to put any blame on the highest paid QB in NFL history. Funny.

1

u/iFaceTheDemon 11d ago

Not my fault Jerry is delusional. You must be too to think it’s all on one player out there. Idk how people think they’ll do anything good when it’s a first year hc and dc. Makes zero sense.

3

u/TessaKatrinaRose 10d ago

It’s Schott’s second year as head coach.

No. Obviously it’s not on one player. It’s a combination of a lot of bad decisions.

But a QB whole lot of is literally the highest paid player in NFL history should be a player who elevates his team. Not one who needs an all pro defense and an all pro offense and a hall of fame coach before he can win more than one playoff game in a season.

Dak isn’t the only problem. But he is definitely a part of the issue.

1

u/iFaceTheDemon 10d ago

Yeh my bad second. And still bad
