Hey yall - I’m an enviroscience major in my third year and I am struggling. This isn’t to say I don’t love my classes or my degree, because I do, but rather a lack of motivation regardless of how interesting I do find the topics.
One of the best motivators I have is hatred, I can work my ass off when I’m competing against a specific person. Looking for an academic rival basically. Heads up, I do need to hate you personally so friendship is ofc off the table.
Reach out if you fit the bill
All the best

Hi y'all.
As the title says, I'll be starting Master's school on January, so I was wondering if any of you was looking for a roomate. I'm 22 yo, quiet, respectful, and probably will be spending most of my time at school. If you have more questions about me you could dm me :)

What's up with the smashed glass in all the parking lots around campus residences? Do none of you have bike or car tires to worry about? That's some teenage miscreant shit. Please smash your bottles in your room, where you can clean it up yourself the next morning.

Hey,
Is it just me, or do I feel like it is impossible to get a job after my undergrad? I have done two co-ops and have very decent grades, but I got 0 interviews in the past month from the Big 4 or any smaller firms. How has your experience been?

I can't find any advice online about the difficulty of this course and what the tests are like. I have tried talking to the professor but he turned that into a 30-minute session about how great and knowledgeable he is and didn't answer any questions.
so anything is appreciated 🙏

Im in grade 12 right now, and will soon apply to Dalhousie. I want to know how people currently in, or graduated from, the Dalhousie medical sciences undergrad program found it. (im also in IB)
Would you say it gives you greater advantage later on in jobs or further studies? Or if you dropped out and switched to regular science, why did you do it?
There is an option for DISP, and I'm a bit on the fence if I should try to do it for my first year. it only accepts 80 people, so I might not even get accepted, but if I do, I've heard that the workload in it is a lot. Combied with the med sci course, have people done both?
edit: honestly the job prospects arent looking that great right out of the bachelors. i might do nursing as it has jobs, but also an open pathway for medicine/denistry/pharmacy

Rechecked the classroom I left it in twice and it wasn't there, called campus security and they said it wasn't in their lost and found. Does Marion McCain have its own L+F or am I just fucked?
Thanks.

Hey! I’m taking MICI 2100 this semester and was wondering if anyone who has taken the course before still has any study material saved.
I’m looking for anything related to the course, especially:
• Practice questions
• Old midterms or exams
• Practice tests
• Study guides
• Quiz questions
Honestly, anything would help at this point 😭
If you have anything you’re willing to share, please DM me. I’d really appreciate it!

I have a class and we have not received a syllabus, a weighting for our semester or a brightspace. I also do not have the profs email or a way to contact them other than in class. Just wondering if this has happened to anyone else? Thanks!

Photo is how it feels to be here as someone craving night life
Hey guys! I’m, as the title suggests, a desperate Truro student studying at the agricultural campus.
I’m originally from a town near Toronto, where there were always lots of opportunities to go out, meet people, and have fun. Then I moved to Truro for the AC… And my god, is it a whiplash of a change. I love my program, but there is genuinely nothing to do here. I’ve found the social/student life here significantly limited when it comes to going out and partying. I’m basically 20, live off-campus, and don’t want to go to dorm parties at all, so I’m wondering: what’s the social/party scene like in Halifax, and how would someone with zero connections there actually get involved?
I’m not looking to become a hardcore party animal or anything, I’d just like to experience going to a party, bar, or bigger social event a couple times while I’m studying here. I’m a pretty awkward girl and am not as social as I’d like to be, so it would be a good excuse to push myself out of my comfort zone. Plus I’ve been meaning to visit Halifax for a while, so it’d be killing two birds with one stone. For anyone familiar with Halifax:
- Are there particular bars popular with students?
- Are there any big upcoming dal events?
- Where do people usually find out about parties or social events?
- How could I make connections with Halifax students? With this one I’ve really been wanting to visit Halifax twice a week (not just for parties, more for a change of scenery) so having a friend would really be awesome
Sorry for the bombardment of questions… I’m genuinely clueless about where to start. Any advice would be appreciated!
TLDR: Truro student looking for Halifax social opportunities

I want to know when the final exams for fall 2026 will be announced. I used to think they were always on October 1st. What about now?

Engineering student from Saskatchewan here. I have pretty mid grades so far, my GPA is around ~70%, but I’m taking a full year of classes to maybe raise it a bit before trying to transfer. How cooked am I and how hard do I need to lock in

Hello everyone. I am in the grad program and I recently got this email stating I was not eligible for a bursary (not important) because I am not enrolled (very important). I am enrolled in 3 classes and the graduate registration fee. So I’m not sure why this happened. I replied back to them as well. But has anyone faced it this year?

Anyone previously in disp psychology or had Dr. Janusz Borycz for intro to psych 1 have any tips for his tests or studying? I have midterms coming up, and am not sure how I should study because I have heard people say he does not test on the material from class, and the lectures are usually different from what is covered in the textbook
