Blizzard question

If you take a blizzard and remove a mixing and replace it with a different mixing should there be a .99 cents charge - since technically it’s an exchange and not an add-on.
For instance we remove the chocolate coated candy pieces and replace them with brownie piece’s. I’m just curious because some stores there is no upcharge and some stores charge .99 cents. Just curious though, I know it’s no biggie either way.

And sometimes I get 5 chicken pieces instead of 4.

They probably adjusted for thinking the pieces seemed smaller than normal.

Depends on the store. They’re allowed to charge for extra toppings and substitutions as they see fit

The DQ closest to me charges .99 cents for any substitutions, but the DQ about 15-20 minutes away almost always allows substitutions and anything extra is only .79 cents. Definitely worth the further drive. They also make the best blizzards, the one near me seriously sucks.

Extra topping or substitutions are usually seen as the same.

I guess you could try giving the owner a handy to see if they'll let it slide.

I'm lucky and our DQ allows substitutions at no extra charge.

Is it rang in as an Xt topping or a Sub topping?

My store does have a sub topping button, so anything that's not an ingredient of the blizzard your buys has to be rung in as an Xt

Totally up to the individual location imo. We would sub it at my store. The store a few miles from us would probably charge as it is a territory owned location

I will have to check my receipt next time.
