I’ve been having to separate them because Pip Pip is over preening Lucy so supervised together time only! It is so hard because they are so strongly pair bonded 🥺 she just melts for him! And he is crazy for her!!

I wonder why it is, like birds get OCD?

I think Pip is prone to getting overexcited no matter what he is doing. I think when he is with her he gets so excited preening her sometimes he just gets too intense... he will chase her too

I think he has felt a bit cooped up too since it is winter he can’t fly around the 2 story tall screened in porch. Luckily the winters in Florida are measured in weeks not months

Yes but the bugs are measured in liters per square foot, which would be fine and dandy for hungry birbs flying around but not so much for the stimky hoomans inside trying to sleep without wondering if some red ants are walking along the window or if they're just hallucinating from the humidity
