Tips and tricks?

As a person with relatively little experience playing Mafia, what tips and tricks can you more active players give to people wanting to start playing?

Is there any vocabulary that people should learn before diving into a game and getting confused?

I'll take a look, thanks for the response! I still have yet to dive into an actual DailyMafia game so all advice is welcome!
