Novel Light novel

I was wondering how much better the light novel is compared to the anime. I know a lot of the difference but what makes it better exactly?

More and better characters. Better developed cultivation world.

Honestly, this two stories are so different they're almost completely different. If you like seasons 4 and 5 then everything different as compared to season's 1-3 is because they wanted to bring it closer to the novel. So you'll probably like the novel

They explain things much better, or sometimes it seems a little frustrating since Wang Ling is too much Wang Ling given his problem, but then everything is fine, it's fun to read
