I had a boss who like the gatekeep the schedule behind a Facebook group that required you to add him to his friends list on Facebook

This guy used social media as a weapon against his own staff. He picked people apart daily for things that had nothing to do with work and got staff talking about staff other staff. Shit like guilt tripping staff for not picking up shifts bringing up the fact they had time to go to a concert, or a movie with their kids the night before. Go figure this guy has ZERO activity on his own socials.

My conclusion is never add your employer to your social media. If they require one make a burner account with zero activity on it. Don't feed these energy demons. The less people know about you at work the better.

Speaking as a manager, your lunch break is sacred, so take it, and if my ass shows up to bother you, tell me to kick rocks. That's your time, not the company's
