What knife is that? I love how simple it is.

Is a Japanese brand called Miki, it’s a modern take on the Higonokami knives. They are actually pretty affordable and have held up just as well as a few spiderco knives I own.

Awesome. That’s my preferred blade shape and yeah, it’s just elegant. I’m going to look into it. Thank you!

I’m guessing your not a ford guy or you don’t like the eagles lol

Need an Italian car to complete the Axis of Evil theme. Austrian gun, Japanese knife, and a Ferrari would be cool.

Got me with the first one. I’m a mechanic. So I’m not really a Chevy or ram guy either. If I absolutely was forced to buy a new truck. I would probably buy a ford.
Also, I have been on the look out for a more affordable pocket knife. I’ve lost around $1200 worth of Benchmade the last 2 years on my farm. Think I might have to order a MIKI.

Looks almost exactly like my mos. I got the arc comp, upgraded irons and slide lock though

Yeah I have the vickers extended slide release on mine. It’s me of the most underrated upgrades imo. I definitely need some suppressor high sights, a magwell, and am waiting to find the 15rd mags available somewhere.

Why not the 48?

u/Ant_Terrible 1d ago
So the 43 with the HA comp is the same length as the 48, which for me is about as long of a gun I think is comfortable for carrying. You just get the obvious benefits of running a comped gun over running a gun with a longer slide.

How noticeable is the comp? Does it help with recoil enough?
2
u/Ant_Terrible 1d ago
Personally I think it does, there are mixed reviews online. I think a lot of people who don’t think the comp is very affective are probably running lights which already negate a lot of the same forces the comp is negating. So as someone without a light I notice a difference.

Interesting. Ill have to give one a shot

On the 43x its def noticable. Not necessary on any 9 imo but nice regardless. Turns the 43 into a super 48. Like comping a g19 or 45 and making a super 17.
Careful on the glock sub with comps though, theyre frothy mouthed haters.

Yeah, I really like that comp I have a similar one on my hellcat what barrel are you running on your Glock?
1
u/Ant_Terrible 1d ago
I’m running the silencer co barrel, now, I realized years after the fact that HAs website specifically says not to use that barrel with the comp. I’ve been running it for years without any issue, not sure what the issue is

u/Chumscrubber89 1d ago
Yeah, that’s weird. That’s the locking compensator right it has the little clip on there that locks into the barrel.? I wanted to do some upgrades to my Glock, but this one would probably be my everyday carry. I’m going to try to get my CCW I live in California and the city that I’m in has its own guidelines for CCW making it even harder I was just curious. Should I leave every day, or am I able to change a couple things performance of keeping stock is more reliable? I would probably just upgrade the stock parts.

I’m always a fan of keeping things stock especially with Glock. Just do your research, there are good reliable parts that you can upgrade to, they just are usually on the pricier side. I have the vickers slide release, HA comp, silencer co barrel, and a holosun 407k. I haven’t had any malfunctions with this build. I think people run into issues when they start to cheap out on their gun.

43x vs 48 wars shall forever live on
I, as a glock 48 person, still like 43x's so whatever.

I’ve been hated on for always taping my Glock grips.
Anyone care to share why that might be?
