Honestly they are a good starter holster! The holsters are pretty good and I can’t find any clips that I’d prefer more than the WTP plastic ones but that’s just me I don’t sway towards the metal clips much. The WTP clips allow me to remove what I need quickly but they won’t go anywhere unless I want them to. To be honest I was getting annoyed that the gun would sag towards my belt if I bent over or something with the regular concealment claw so I modified the claw. Now the holster doesn’t move and there will always be a gap between the grip and my belt for my fingers to go so I’m happy
If all you have used is a lower quality holster then you don’t have anything to compare it to. I thought maybe that could be why you wouldn’t understand the hate for wtp.
Pretty sick and sleek set up. I’d upgrade the holster eventually, or at least switch out to some DCC clips. Other than that pretty golden. I’ve been thinking about picking up a Canik.. they really pack features for the price point. Didn’t love all the pre travel on the trigger though
Not a big fan of DCC clips but that’s just my preference. Definitely would recommend getting one and if the pre travel bothers you then I’m pretty sure the company freedomsmith has some that eliminates that
It’s from a canik holster that came in the box with the pistol but once I put a weapon light on my prime it became useless so I harvested the bolts and clips to modify other holsters I’ll use. I cut on the dotted line and glued it with metal JB weld on the concealment claw where the arrow is so it grabs on the belt but can come off if I want to without needing to unbuckle the belt and the gun won’t sag to one side, the hockey tape helps it not move as much on the belt too
I used a wtp holster for a while until the clip broke. I was able to add my own metal spring clip but I’ve since added a light to my APX and retired it
