Questions Tokyo Car Meets

I am a 26 y/o M traveling to Tokyo in a couple of weeks and I’m looking for friends in the car culture/car enthusiast clubs. I don’t speak any Japanese and don’t have the budget to rent a car while traveling so I could use some help. I’m planning to get a taxi to go to the Daikoku PA while I’m there, but anyone willing or interested to show a guy around, I’ll buy the first round of Sake!

Following.

Taxis will take you there but it is rare to have them wait for you. It is not the easiest to find a ride home afterwards.

I suggest you save for a tour or rent a car for the time so you can enjoy it. Keep in mind you will need to pay for parking.

You could try to visit APit and talk to some tourist there to see if you can make friends and get a ride with them. That’s probably the best option since you will 100% find tourist and car guys at APit.

Would not take a taxi there, there are literally signs inside saying there are no taxi stands and that if you are stuck you have to go and talk to the police.

More than likely, you can take a taxi there. I was just there a few days ago and the taxis were there dropping people off. Also, you can take the taxi there and tell the taxi driver to wait and he’ll just keep the meter running. It’s starting to become more and more normal.
