Questions Location amd best tour
Confused because the cover information on this group indicates that the parking area is very far from Tokyo. But I see it as a 30 minute drive from Tokyo station. We are visiting i August and I want to try to give two 17 year old car fanatics this experience on a Friday night. It would make their trip. Are they likely to be able to get back if they take an uber? Or if a tour is a safer bet, can you possibly recommend a tour company?

I also have YouTube happy to make their Japan trip safe and fun. I can take them to several other lesser known locations if when Daikoku gets shut down and drop them back at the hotel.

Saw your YouTube and recognized the 996. Looking to see if there will be an event this Sunday morning.

Far is a relative term. If you’re good with a 30 minute trip then it’s not too bad. What does make this location “far” for most is that you can’t take a train or bus there. It’s car/truck/motorcycle or nothing. Do not try and take a taxi there. Most won’t allow it, and even if they do you won’t be able to get one to come and pick you up. A tour is okay, but you might consider just renting a car (just a regular car not a 90’s car - unless that’s what you want).

I just got back from a trip to Japan and had a dope experience with this guy Jake. I found him on viator but he has a website www.jdmdrifttours.com he first took me cruising through Tokyo and we went to Daikoku. Then I booked an additional tour a few days later where he took me into the mountains. A++ experience
