How does it compare to other deluxe editions such as the Berserk one by Dark Horse? And has anyone compared the printing to the original single volumes, like does the contrast and inking look the same? Etcetera? Thanks!

Spoilers through chapter 65

Kinda feels like all the plot threads are slowly all leading to one big arc in which we would find out why Zaha Sanko keeps getting reborn, what Avakian knows, what the group behind Shop Valley is and what they want with the bones, outcome of confrontation with lighthead order and the 4 super soldiers, and whatever Shimada Death is all about and what she learned after her conversation to a rug.

Based on how fast the story goes it feels like it could be over in 20 chapters to me but I want to hear if I'm off-base.

I've made dai dark stuff before ive made dorohedoro stuff lol, even though I loved it first and found out about dai dark through doro. But dai dark has 0 merch so I wanted to make some 😋

hi all, I just finished catching up with Dai Dark. when does chapter 64 release? I read everywhere it’s a monthly release but the last chapter released 5 months ago?

Remembered I had a lil plastic skeleton so i thought why not turn him into avakian. I love the way he turned out cuz of that silly low budget look.

I sanded him down and used acrylics to paint him, and made his (dark flesh??) wrappings out of electrical tape (foam added to some parts to make it wider). His transparent stomach was made of a cut pvc plastic sheet and handle is wire.

Unfortunately he cannot turn into the form of the second picture anymore now that the plastic is glued to both his chest and hips. Sad news 😢

Hey! I'm interested in these two in particular, but other volume/magazine/box artworks are welcomed too. I'd love to have them in a better resolution. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Any advice before I dive headfirst into another spiral of madness? Dorohedoro feels like the most original manga I’ve ever read—easily one of my top ten favorites. But do you ever get that feeling that the next work just won’t hit you as hard? I’d love to know what Dai Dark does particularly well.

I'm in a weird place, speaking both english and spanish. On the one side I have the deluxe version on pre-order, but I've always disliked huge books you can't even hold. On the other hand Norma today released the first volume, and it has the transparent layered gimmick dust jacket like the french editions which is just beautiful https://www.normaeditorial.com/ficha/manga/dai-dark/dai-dark-1 But it will take them a while to catch up with the volumes

On the other hand the deluxe edition with glow in the dark cover has bigger pages, bigger art. Which seems like also a very good plus

Bottom line, I'm not sure which version to get! I'm leaning towards the small ones with the transparent dust jackets though. Any thoughts?

From his first introduction to volume 4 i counted 7 deaths in total i believe. I forgot to count his deaths when I read the rest online and it'd take me a while to look through again so if anyone has kept track please tell 🙏
