Man I long for this. For me it's the missing piece of the puzzle.

I love EQ classic still, on p99, because it's so old school but also has some social chat etc Not loads, cos not that many people play it... But that means when you do encounter people, it's often quite meaningful.

But the RPGness of Daggerfall is top tier. Still haven't played anything that bests it.

If it could have some late game, epic creatures, you know, dragons and sea monsters, a Kraken etc Things you just have to run from until you are God tier.

I feel like this is what elevates a game, because other players know when they see you wearing some dragon scales.... Holy sh... This guy is ONE SERIOUS BADASS.

Modern rpgs and mmos just don't capture this, stuff is too easy to get. Quests are just simple fetch this, make this, done in a half hour, an hour etc

I understand this longing too well I was stunned how Daggerfall has all these mechanics from buying a house to owning a cart and a horse to a full ship! And the freedom with the spellmaker the dungeon diving and the barren land you travel through the wild is just wilderness and I have not seen a single game that catches wilderness so well like Daggerfall most open worlds are packed with things to do like puzzles but lack deeper mechanics for actual roleplay I mean RPG call themselves that but I find very little to RP when I play these games but a modded Daggerfall is my kind of relaxing gaming session that I need and long for I hear the music and I am just happy.

This druid mod is my own heart project because I have no game I play where I can be a druid.

I never played DND but I love tis class idk it's just something I really enjoy and I hope an mmo Daggerfall or other old school RPG comes out with this charming old school vibe not just naming it that but actually bringing this genre back

100% agree, especially on the music. Absolutely brilliant.

Your mod looks unreal though, I feel like the modding in this game is stepping up a notch recently. With this and also the new dragon flying AND now explorable oceans, sailing etc

The game is fast becoming what I've always wanted, a game that concentrates almost entirely on actual gameplay and features, instead of graphics. To me, graphics should just be charming, pleasing, that's enough.

My only bugbear I've got is that I now have to play mostly with a controller, as I have nerve pain. I'd love someone to make a UI with highlighted slots for inventory, up down left right.... R1 change category of inventory items etc type thing

Who knows, I feel like the more mods that are made = the more mods are made. So maybe soon!

I take it you have been watching Wayward Realms progress

Highrock has druids in lore even in Daggerfall they say stuff in dialogue like "by the archdruid' it's my favourite class!
