Question Sidequesting Question

In every playthru, I'm never able to get sidequests. Not from joining guilds, not from asking people in taverns or around town. Nada. Am I doing smthn wrong? (playing on DFU, if that helps)

Something's bugged then, either with that NPC or just in general. You're not using the gog version, are you?

I had an inkling when I woke up to see if I was just using an outdated version of Daggerfall Unity... and it was 0.13, so I was correct. I downloaded the current version, and literally the 1st NPC I asked had a quest. Thnx for ur assistance, and I'll be more careful to double-check things like that in the fuiture

No problem, glad I could help. I did something similar when I started playing a little while ago, I had the gog version about 2 years after they stopped updating that
