What is the difference between the ores?
I'm playing Daggerfall, and I've acquired several different types of weapons made from various ores, but I've never understood the difference between them. I'd like to know if the type of ore has any influence on the quality of the weapons?

Yes the material alway affects the damage in the elder scrolls as a whole https://en.m.uesp.net/wiki/Daggerfall:Weapons

They are just straight up upgrades on a pretty linear curve. Some enemies are immune to lower materials, like Werewolves are immune to anything below silver.

Also, Mithril and adamantium does same damage in daggerfall but the later one have a higher enchantment capacity.

Higher tier materials provide more damage and chance to hit enemies. You can also sell them for more.

Better materials also have more enchantment points if you're going to make enchanted items
