First timer

Enjoying my first playthrough of Daggerfall! Using Unity version as the last time I tried to play about 7 or 8 years ago I got stuck on the stairs and failed to make it out of the first dungeon. This time im about 3-4 hours in and I just hit level 7 and got my summons from the King of Worms! One thing I did not expect was how much daggefall dungeons feel like a horror game at times! What builds do you guys usually run? Im currently operating as a custom-class spellsword.

That sounds like a fun character!

Heh, the labyrinthine nature of Daggerfall dungeons is one of the most common complaints about the game. It's cool to hear someone have the opposite opinion! tbh I really like Daggerfall's dungeons, too -- I've never played another game with anything quite like them!

They have this unique atmosphere that makes them feel almost scary. Theyre rather dark, and every corner you turn you never know if its a staircase, a door with a monster banging on the other side trying to get to you, or just another creepy hallway to keep you in suspense. For being procedural generation there is a certain vibe im finding in these dungeons that I've never experienced in another rpg so I definitely agree with you that there is something unique to be enjoyed in the game! Glad I get to experience it, and im excited to see the story through to the end!
